What's your thoughts on Feedburner (web feed management provider) in terms of SEO? Do you believe it to be a positive benefit to your site(s)? Also, do you believe that it does help your site get more traffic and better ranked?

This is something that I've wanted to look in to myself. I haven't done anything with feedburner yet but interested in this thread so I thought I would post.

I've used it on a couple of my older websites, but I've also done a lot of other SEO with them as well (custom URL's, sitemaps, etc), so it would be difficult to tell if it actually helped or not.

Actually I think the question would work better if rephrased:

Is feedburner worth the time, or are there more efficient methods of promoting your content you better spend your time on?

Cause it definitely does have at least some SEO benefits smile

Well, setting up Feedburner only takes minutes at most, and that includes slapping that chicklet on a site if that's something a person wants to do. The analytics aspects of it are quite nice, that's true. I suppose one could setup their own subdomain (rss.domain.com) and use Feedburner that way too, so it keeps the branding.

I guess both have pros and cons to using it, for and against.
