New iPhone 5 release dates?

    No sign of Apple's new phone yet nor of the iPad 2.

    Will you be buying one?

    I love my iPhone 4, so will not be upgrading, but might be tempted by the iPad 2 if has a webcam etc.

    A year or so ago I would say: I hope iPhone 5 will come out as soon as my current contracts expires. But now I hope something similar will come out BUT NOT BY APPLE.

    I have one of the earlier models of iPhone (3G) and I must say - I am pretty annoyed with how slow it works (some apps don't work at all between updates, etc.).

    If Apple could guarantee their devices will work even after new models come out (for at least 2 years) I might consider getting a new iPhone again. But here in Europe their warranty is only 1 year (EU standard is 2 years).

    They always release the iPhone in September, there is no reason to suggest that this year will be any different.

    They are rumoured to also be bringing out a cheaper iPhone Nano, to challenge new cheaper Android phones and to take the iPhone to China and India ($200).
