Most sites are effected and my friend's site even penalized by Google for over optimized.
I believe it was targeted at over optimized sites using specific keywords. However it seems to have simply affected the offending Url's not entire sites.
Lots of info at their blog may give insight and help.

Dame Scribe...Thanks for the great link!
That is a lot of changes to ponder. Changes for the way we should do SEO and how we probably need to focus on niches, but it is more than just a few simple fixes!
This reveals why there is so much confusion as to what to do regarding modifying keywords, Hubs, content, etc. Hmm and Whew...I am just glad I don't have a ton of Hubs to work on.
One thing I noticed... there is no refresh for low quality "new content", if I read that correct, so rushing out to do ambitious challenges without adequate research could be counter productive at this time!
Worth a look Hubbers....Good luck to us all!
