I only started getting into website and SEO since October.
I have few backlinks of my own but I noticed that I am getting some from somewhere that names doesn't even ring a bell.
within few months my site is in the first page for a competitive keyword.
?my site is only new...google might de-index me.
I am only doing white hat but I am starting to read about blackhat now. I don't want to dump them with backlinks because I might help them get higher ranking just like what they did to me.
Any advice? What will anyone do in my position?
When you say site. Do you mean your hub or your blog? What site is linking? Be aware of getting a lot of links to your site. I read last-night there is software used to add 100's of links to competitors to bring there rank down the serps tubes. Causing Google to penalize your site for unnatural links.
Actually it is my website.
I looked in my webmaster tools and suddenly i got 50+ new links.
I emailed google already that it's not me doing it.
Anyway, I'm still on first page so I guess what they are doing is actually helping me.
I have read about sending 100's of links and what is that software but I don't think I need it for now.

This is how I understand backlinks. Linking to a webpage that links back to you is more valuable to SEO than not having it link back to you. The more removed this website is from your own the better. ...
