The Run Down...
Temporarily(?) Down
This is (usually) updated monthly and you will regularly find
Reviews of Movies, Books & (when I buy one) album reviews. Afterlife (a diary section) ,a humor column, which I try to include something for each month. I also try to include different or rotating columns as well, but it doesn't always work out that way. One may be a poetry section when I've finished a new one (& are published in a variety of ways already)
See the 'other articles' for other parts of the Run down Like The Avatar Awards The 2013 Awards will be held (or so planned) February 14th 2014.
(my Avatar Awards as it just sounded like a cool name for an ENTERTAINMENT Awards show! plus I don't always agree witht the actual awards shows I swear they're fixed, plus they go by Hype and not content (at least tv & movie wise actors I do question the winners sometimes)
NOTICE I have not posted to this since NOvember 2013. I do have a blog I make a weekly post as well as special themed ones.
You can see it here or check the RSS feed in side bar on the right
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this but for now you can keep up with the blog until I decide if I will delete this, or just do an occassional Update or what (I would like to move on to just the blog but some things are easier to do in certain ways. I'm think ing the daily stuff will stay with the blog anything else on this. I'm not sure.

So the Holiday Madness is here and I'm already ready to scream. WTF sorry but the holiday decor should not be put up until Thanksgiving day the EARLIEST and to the store just because you start shoving it down our throats doesn't mean we'll buy more because the earlier we hear the music and all the B.S. the less we actually want to even give gifts.
The cool weather is here we've had a few nights in the 30s maybe even below.
Sadly with the new month we lost a great and admired humanitarian in Actor Paul Walker.
We will miss you even those of us that were fans WAY before the Fast and Furious movies.
I do try my best to find other stuff to exclusively run on here, besides what I include in a print version for friends & subscribers which I am trying to give a makeover. I am waiting for feedback on as well as articles.
It would help for feedback and suggestions of what you'd like seen covered as well) However some topics are already covered in some of my other pages; so you can use all of them as part of This Run Down Magazine as most of them I update at least once a week, sometimes 2-3x! Others are once a month and so on. Those that are Holidays I usually do it a couple times a year as I think or find something to add to it.
Status of the month
Thankful my birthday & december holidays are one month after the other.

The Boob Tube - Reviews and news
My Reviews for THe Walking Dead, AMerican Horror Story; Coven, Agents of S,H.I.E.l.D., Ironside, & Sleepy Hollow can be found here
There are also still shows like Almost human starting November 4th Black Sails in January and Intelligence in february plus those I'm guessing are for midseason I am waiting to start.
The Cw's Star Crossed, & THe 100 People NBC's Crissis, Undateable, Believe, Crossbones, on Syfy Helix.
Almost Human- I don’t recall if I reviewed this yet, but after 3-4 episodes I figure I can at least update my opinion if I already have. This Sci-fi future set Cop Comedy Procedural is a nice change of pace. I don’t really watch cop shows but this one so far is entertaining enough to keep my attention. Also happy to see Karl Urban on tv and not just in movies like Lord of the Rings or Star Trek as Bones . The show is dramatic, suspenseful and can be pretty funny when it comes to him & the character Dorian played by (Michael Ealy) which is the ‘Almost Human’ it’s an android which is a robot that looks human onl,y this model has emotions and such unlike the newer ones which are straight by the book no grey area!) Karl Plays Detective John Kennex who (I forget how long) but was injured on a case losing his leg trying to save his (then) human partner. Now an android partner is required. Minka Kelly (from Friday Night Lights) is in this as well as Det. Valerie Stahl sadly she’s ‘handcuffed’ it seems to her desk. I don’t recall her going out in the field (at least not yet) and I think Det. Kennex may have a crush on her. So Far I say we’ve got another Fox hit! A
Doctor Who- Day of the Doctor I may be still fairly new and have mostly only seen Matt Smith ‘series (seasons) but having three doctors in one Movie was genius! It was quite funny and I enjoyed it a lot (even though I know David Tennant’s Doctor was the previous Embodiment of Matt Smith’s but John Hurt they kept saying was the future & had young eyes etc. Though he was dressed looking more like he may have came from the 1800s or the wild west. So with that I’m a bit confused. But otherwise A
Supernatural does it again. Making a hit, classic & fan fave episode with “Dog Dean Days” episode. I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard.
To solve a case dean takes some potion and can hear a vics dog speak (as in english, no dog barks) When dean starts Barking at a mailman, that’s when its time to breace yourself to fall out of the chair or bed (wherever you watch tv)
The Tomorrow People- is sort of like oh man what was that show that had the peole with the suer powers that stared Zachary Quinto? Ah Heroes I think it was. Only all these characters ahve the same power, they are supposed to be the next evolution and are not considered to be human. They can teleport, telecomunication (talk in each others' minds, & so on) The show is ok, but Its (as far as I know so far) not one of my MUST watch shows that I'll have a cow over if I miss a second of it.
Reign Gosip GIrl meets the Tudors and fitting as the guy who plays
sebastian was in the Showtime series The Tudors. So far I haven't been able to just sit and watch, now normally that's a bad thing, but I'm not sure if it's just because I've been busy with other things but obviosuly it isn't a must watch for me.
The Originals Well apparently Vampires are still a thing & no I'm not complaining. Anti-hero Klaus has moved to New Orleans on word of a witch plotting against him. In this show you get to see both the vicious and "nice' Klaus. Though the plot Vampire DIaries fans saw during an episode last season the first episode is narrated by 'Elija' as introducing the family. Some things may be a bit different from that TVD pilot and first episode in stories but not to far apart. Besides it's not like they are veering away from beloved parts (& characters) of the books (like the vampire Diaries has, even though it is 'LOOSELY' based... ) This is a definate MUST watch for me. I get cranky (as much as Klaus) when I'm disturbed, and enough to rip out someones neck! Can't wait to see what else goes on.
Dads The only half hour show I remember to watch every week though not live, I catch it free on demand. I love Seth Green and frankly the show cracks me up! I think of an episode I'm not laughing for maybe 5 minutes! Though there is controversey that it's sexist, racist, etc. I think the people that say that about it need to watch more than one episode, and I see it as with comedy ANYTHING goes. If You are offended, apparently then it means its true! A (as its the ONLY comedy show that leaves me in stiches and can't breathe because I laugh so hard and much while watching) I'm sure the MOMs show has nothing over this in laughs!
The Goldbergs I've only watched one episode so far, but seeing that 80s stuff.. OMG it's the stuff of Nightmares! And I was old enough during that time to remember most of it! I did laugh at a few of the gags in it, but not like Dads.
Draculastarring Tudors' Jonathan Rhys Meyers & Its ABOUT TIME someone Irish playd Dracula (or at least 1. as far as I know & 2. being Stoker who is Irish wrote it) though I would think better if a Romanian would play it) In this incarnation, the vampire has assumed the identity of an American entrepreneur by the name of Alexander Greyson (Whatever happened to the A. Lucard? (Dracula Spelled Backwards) In 1890s London with aspirations of bringing modern science and technology to Victorian society& it's all a. So far I'm not really sure about it I think I need another 1 or 2 episodes to see if its really worth investing in, but that's now 3 days of the week we have vampire shows on! (well at least during the falls, add summer in & its 4 days! So At least I get some fang for my buck!
Produced by former 24 producer Tony Krantz, Collin Callender (the former president of HBO Films), Anne Mensah, Reece Pearson and Downton Abbey producer Gareth Name. Meanwhile, creator and relative newcomer Cole Haddon will serve as writer and co-executive producer.
Witches of East End- So Vampires, & Zombies have taken over & now the witches want their time in the Supernatural world, that is now apparently our own! This is part day time soap (esp. with the way at least one or 2 set pieces look like and even a couple of the actors have been on some day time soaps) and another part something else, though what that is I have not figured out what to liken it to. THere's at least one classic Soap plotline to this so far and then you have the supernatural fun of it.
The show revolves around a family of female witches, Julia Ormond, plays mama Beauchamp, Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Channings wife?) plays Frey (LOVE the name!) Rachel Boston as Ingrid and Aunt Wendy is played by she with the mesmerizing eyes Madchen Amick (is it jsut me or should she & Mads Miklesen get together?) Although it's shown on the lifetime station (usually way to chick for myt tastes) I'm hooked (though I have to watch On Demand as its on the same time as something I've already invested in the past few years on Sundays.
Hannibal praise
"Hannibal" "is the last of this season's serial killer shows. It's also, by a very wide margin, the best." Jeff Jensen of Entertainment Weekly called "Hannibal" "finely acted, visually scrumptious and deliciously subversive" while Matt Roush of TV Guide said the show is "feverishly twisted, fascinatingly macabre and visually remarkable."
Fave lines & episodes so far
Arrow- Burn, The Odyssey (season 1)
Supernatural- Dean to Beny: (season 8) So you were VAMPirates!? Favorite Episode so far Episode 8 Hunteri Heroici. THe guys go LOONY as in Cartoonie (but it wasn't an animated episode. Its in my top 3 favorite silly episodes of the series.
True Blood- Season 6 premier ep (forget what line.. but there's one that I'm still cracking up over when I end up saying it out loud! Funnier than Vegan vampire even!)

— -Ecclesiasticus 6:14Sexiest man poll - New list for new year
I did this last year but a bit late, so this year I am going to do it again, I'm going to add a bunch of actors & so on to this list for you to vote on who is the sexiest.
What is Sexy? and how would you define it? Is it the physical : in a smile like one that lights up the room, a smirk like Ian somerhader playing Damon on Vampire Diaries, or a pout like Ryan Phillippe's? Is it in the body Ryan Reynold's Circa Amityville & Blade trinity? Is it in the eyes, a certain look on the sly of a fleeting glance, a smoldering one like Ian Somerhalder's on the banner with those Intense Blues, or some one that has Bedroom Browns, maybe "clothes do make the man" Do they have to be Ruggedly handsome, adventuristic, badboy maybe even with a 'sexy' foreign accent or are they the sweet dorky nerd next door, with no athletic co-ordination at all? Is it the humorous goofball like Ryan Reynolds and Paul Rudd? Or Is it someone that's suave & Romantic ?
I say there is no one right answer. Some would say looks, another might say its in a smile or one's overall personality. Being funny is another way some say someone is sexy, having some sort of talent. Being suave, sophisticated, or just 'Posh'. It depends on the person, and could be one trait or a variety, but here its a bit of everything, looks, humor and more Plus a little of what I know, about them (if any)
What I think is sexy, is a little of everything above... tho' you don't ahve to be all 'posh' for me.. I'm a 'T' & jeans kinda girl I liek to be comfy
So Here I give you the nitty gritty of some of my Favorite actors, & who it cames down to as the top sexiest... a Really hard decisions to make
however I do need your help otherwise I'l end up having a 3 way tie for #1!
Some of them are Hotties w/ the Bodies, others are loveable goofballs, sexy accents, Personality, or whatever the case may be (like Ian Somerhalder who likes to do alot of charity work, loves cats, & just seems like a charming romantic kind of guy)
SHould include what they are famous for or not?

- Oblivion- takes place in 2077 when the earth was in a war and pretty much totally destroyed (except for one beautiful patch of green.) There was some sort of war & the moon is no more habitation is supposedly on The Titan Moon of Saturn. Tom Cruise has a nice green cabin with a pond he escapes to on his maintenance runs of fixing drones. Frankly if the future looks as sterile as most of these movies (or at least the living quarters) I hope I’m dead before it comes! One familiar thing for me in this was a certain painting that was in the saw mill at my old job! As for the movie itself.. well was nothing special or different (I hope Elysium will be better, because something tells me they are the same movie with different names!) C

Semi- UseFUL facts
Why we call it "the living room": In years passed, it was the habit to hold a deceased person's viewing and wake at home in the front parlor. During that time it ws referred to as the “death room’ The ladies home journal in 1910 declared the ‘Death room’ as no more & henceforth the parlor would be known as the living room
There’s an episode of Copper in the 2nd season where they do this. The rest of this piece noted something about a magazine declaring the living room as such & the home funerals (for most) were done away with, however there are some down south (the southern part of the united states) that still do so.

Q. What do bulletproof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers, and laser printers have in common?
A. All were invented by women.
It was the accepted practice in Babylon 4,000 years
ago that for a month after the wedding, the bride's
father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead
he could drink. Mead is a honey beer, and because
their calendar was lunar based, this period was
called the honey month, which we know today as
the honeymoon.
In English pubs, ale is ordered by pints and quarts.
So in old England, when customers got unruly,
the bartender would yell at them 'Mind your pints
and quarts, and settle down.'
It's where we get the phrase 'mind your P's and Q's'
Do you remember this from the 90s?
