High quality, durability, reliable laptop computers, ThinkPad's performance is top of the line. This is most popular with businesses and schools, but for personal home use too.

The ThinkPad modeled after the traditional Japanese lunchbox with its slick black boxy design. Originally created, produce and sold by IBM, but in 2005, Lenovo purchased IBM's personal computer business. Today it still holds the same high reputation that IBM had placed on their machines.

Two Types of Laptop Computers

Home and Business

Something you need to know is that there are two types of computers. One type of computer is for businesses and one for personal home use. Yes, you can and should buy a business computer for home use.

What is the difference?

Quality and durability is the difference! Plain and simply put, personal home computers are normally cheapened up. Even the software that goes with them is of a different quality. You will see Windows for Business and Windows for Personal Home Use.

This is not saying that you cannot get a good personal home computer. Lenovo puts quality in both types. However, keep in mind that there is a difference.

Working in an office, not only was I in charge of designing, I was the computer geek. The person to go to for computer set up, format, update, network and any problems that may occur, sometimes by user error. I have done extensive research on computers. With one of my many hats, ordering new computers for the office was one of my unofficial duties. I was hired to design.

ThinkPad T520 is ideal for business and personal use. Its slick thin design is portable, powerful and great graphics resolution. Superb laptop with anti-glare display, mobile broadband ready, 4 GB DDR3 - 1333MHz (1 DIMM) and UltraNav with TrackPoint and touchpad. This computer is reasonably prices and four variations to fit your budget for a high quality laptop.

The best deal depends on you and your needs. Considering a home computer, the best deal is the ThinkPad T520 with the Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 operating system. "Premium" rates high for personal home systems. The ThinkPad T520 laptop with Solid State Drive is the top of the line with the Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64 operating system.

What I love about ordering a computer online is the customization. Start with the one model and customize it to your specifications. You cannot do that shopping locally.

I have a laptop and a desktop computer. I love the laptop because you can bring it everywhere. It became my laptop when it had to be completely reformatted or left for dead. We bought our daughter a new computer.

I still use both computers, which are old in PC years. I would definitely consider buying the ThinkPad T520 for business. (Yes, you can use it in your home too.)

The laptop is used most of the time, so my own answer would be that I prefer a laptop.
