Overview

Ubuntu, the new generation distribution from the Linux Operative Systems has gained such maturity and it is the most user liked desktop Linux solution that is the number one (1) implemented as the best alternative for new Linux users.

Ubuntu is built from the Debian Distribution core and even its name has a connotation from Africa: "Humanity towards others" . It was designed with an specific focus on the easiest installation for a Linux OS.

Under Canonical Ltd. on July 8/2005, Ubuntu keeps the bound with Debian and cooperates whit both distributions development. and it integrates all benefits from the Open Source packages same way as the main Linux OS distributions: SUSE , Fedora , and many others.

Kubuntu is another expression from the Ubuntu OS that refers to the KDE desktop environment as its main desktop interface, due to that on its main installation the default Workspace will be the KDE desktop and will include also all the KDE software packages and utilities.
