With its modern fleet and broad coverage of cities throughout the Americas it is a comfortable and convenient airline to fly with. In 2009, Avianca and TACA entered into an alliance. In 2009 Avianca and TACA created a new alliance. TACA is an El Salvadoran airline with its hub city in San Salvador. All flights to Central and South America with TACA fly to El Salvador, before continuing on to the final destination.

TACA is my favorite airline to fly to Central or South America. The cabin crew are great, the aircraft fleet is very new and the connection in San Salvador is great because the airport in San Salvador is very clean, new and efficient.

Also, Avianca and TACA announced in November 2010 that they have been welcomed into the STAR Alliance. TACA and Avianca will become full members of STAR Alliance in 2012.

Last couple of trips we used Spirit. I was against them for years because I had heard "stories." Price has a way of changing your mind.

I can tell you now by multiple trip experience...Spirit is the best value & they don't keep you hanging out in airports when you need to change planes.
