Bodmin Jail's a great place to take your dog as there's lots of outdoor space to be enjoyed. There's no cost to go around the grounds and see all the old jail ruins, you're charged just for entry into the attraction itself, to see round the prison cells in the renovated parts of the site.

Bodmin Courtroom Experience: Dog Friendly

The Bodmin Courtroom Experience lets you join in a re-enactment on a famous murder trial from 1844.

Matthew Weeks was accused of murdering his girlfriend Charlotte Dymond, by Roughtor on Bodmin Moor. He was accused, tried, sentenced and hanged at Bodmin Jail. But was it a miscarriage of justice? Or just desserts?

Listen and watch the re-enactment and judge for yourself before voting in a book.

There are two sides to the story, I know what I've decided ... what will you think?

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead.
