Riverwalk Marketplace: A NOLA Shopping Experience
No trip to New Orleans is complete without spending a little time at the Riverwalk Marketplace. So much more than just a shopping center, the Riverwalk Marketplace is a great example of just what it is that makes NOLA such a special place.
On any given day that you visit the Riverwalk Marketplace you'll be able to enjoy browsing and buying from many great stores, enjoying tasty cuisine from the enormous food court or one of the sit-down restaurants, and great entertainment.
About the Riverwalk Marketplace
Getting to the Riverwalk
The Riverwalk Marketplace is located directly on the Mississippi River, at the 500 Port of New Orleans Place. It is situated at the point where Poydras, Canal and Julia Streets converge at the Mississippi River waterfront. It is situated directly between the city's convention center and the Aquarium of the Americas.
If you are staying in or near the French Quarter, you can easily walk to the Riverwalk Marketplace. The Riverfront Streetcar stops at the shopping and dining complex. There are also several fee-based parking lots nearby, including one at the Convention Center and one at the Hilton hotel. No matter how you arrive, you'll likely be greeted by the sounds of jazz music playing as you approach the building.

There are many different types of stores in the Riverwalk Marketplace, ranging from souvenir and memorabilia shops that cater to tourists to the types of apparel and shoe stores that you'd expect to find in any upscale mall or shopping center.

Hours of Operation
With the exception of certain holidays, the Riverwalk Marketplace is open daily from10 am until 7 pm Monday through Saturday and from noon until 6 pm on Sundays. Hours may vary for some stores.
