Vivocity: Singapore's Family-Friendly Mall
Rooftop of Vivocity
More Than Just Shopping
Within Singapore, there are many shopping malls and of course, the world-renowned Orchard Road. However, Vivocity stands out as a shopping centre which caters to the whole family. There are a variety of shops here selling women’s clothes, men’s clothes, shoes, accessories, kid’s clothes and many restaurants. At Vivocity, there is also more than just shopping.
It is also a fun place for kids as there is a huge wading pool at the rooftop of Vivocity. It is common to see children playing with water there. Some adults have also been spotted in the pool playing together with their kids. The mall is also designed with wide open spaces and this makes pushing prams around the mall much easier.
The rooftop area offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Kids will love both the children's playground one floor below and the wading pool located at the rooftop. As the kids play around, parents can keep a watchful eye over them as they relax on the benches located nearby.

Shop and Eat to Your Heart's Delight
For the shopaholic (both male and female), you will find many well-known brands here such as UNIQLO, Mango and Forever 21. You can also opt to shop at the Tangs Departmental Store. H&M will also be opening an outlet at Vivocity soon. Recent additions to the mall include Korean BBQ chain, BORNGA, and the famous Madam Kwan's restaurant which serves authentic Malaysian cuisine especially its signature nasi lemak.

Crossing over to Sentosa island
Moreover, it is also convenient for families to travel from Vivocity over to Sentosa island for a day out. Sentosa island has enough attractions to fill entire day such as the Universal Studios (with its signature attraction: Transformers) at Resorts World Sentosa, the beaches, the Luge and so on. Visitors can board buses from a bus stop outside Vivocity to Resorts World Sentosa. There is also a monorail which brings you directly to Sentosa. The Resorts World Sentosa also contains a casino and lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. There is also a spa there for those who would prefer to relax.
Star Cruise
Harbourfront Centre: For Cruises and more
The Harbourfront Centre is linked to Vivocity. It is possible to walk from one to the other. For families who wish to take short trips over to Indonesian islands like Batam or Bintan, it can be easily done by buying the tickets at the Harbourfront Centre.
For longer cruises, there are companies like Star Cruises which offer packages to places like Penang or Redang Island.
