What is a inexpensive place to travel to that also has great surf?
It depends where you are in the world but Indonesia is the most amazing place for surfing. I have been over 10 times and although it may be more expensive to get there you can get by with little to no money.
Amazing breaks and incredible people!
yeah, Id' say Indonesia too. Florida as well. Brazil if you can live in a hostel as some avg hotels there cost much more than the states.
There are lots of surfing sites but if you want a cheap one the go to Surigao, Philippines. The place is really suitable for surfing.
Just to add on: If you don't know how to surf yet, there are lots of surfing schools at Bali: http://hubpages.com/hub/Visiting-Bali
if you do, then well, just hit the waves at Bali, Indonesia.

Boracay in the Philippines is a very nice place to stop. I would love to spend my vacation here. Hotels and resorts are one-of-a-kind. Foods are very sumptuous. Very nice white sand beach. Lot of bars.
