When I was stationed in England, I used some leave time and visited Dover, England. I arrived in town late in the evening and decided to walk about and check out the white cliffs. I found a path heading up the sides of the cliffs, so I followed. Near the top I found a phone booth. Weird. Anyway, I called my parents from the top of the White Cliffs of Dover, at midnight local time. It was kinda cool to do that. I hung out up there for close to an hour, watching cruise ships come and go from the nearby port. When the fog rolled in I headed back to the hotel.
My most memorable beach experience was at a Malaysian island called Langkawi. We just sat near the beach on a swing while we chat and listened to the waves. Nearby we could hear strains of good music from the live band playing. Just perfect for relaxation!
