Great Pet Products Including the Andis Power De-Shedder, Snuggle Safe Pet Heating Disc and More!

I love animals…especially dogs and cats. I'm passionate about dog and cat rescue and lend a paw, oops; I mean hand whenever I can. Don't believe me?  Feel free to check out my Beagle's website. In any event, because I love animals (I have three dogs and two cats), I like to spread the word whenever I come across useful pet products. If I can prevent you from wasting your money on a pet product that just isn't worth buying, my job is done.

When it comes to their pets, people spend money…a LOT of money.  Did you know that many people actually spend more money on their pets at Christmas than they do on their significant other? If that isn't a statement, I don't know what is! Below are several pet products that I feel are worth their weight in gold. Take a look…..

Now this first product hasn't been on the market long. In fact, it is brand spankin' new! The Andis Power De-Shedder is perfect for both dogs and cats. It is, in fact, the only de-shedder on the market with a vibrating action blade. Now you may think because it has a vibrating blade it will be loud (and scare your pet…making grooming a nightmare) however, I am happy to report that it is surprisingly quiet! The Andis Power De-Shedder is perfect if you have a pet that happens to shed A LOT as it removes up to 90% of your pet's undercoat. Not only is this good if you have allergies (less hair means less sneezing) it is also wonderful news for your furniture! This de-shedder dog grooming tool comes in three sizes (small, medium and large). It is made of stainless steel (no rusting allowed!) and the teeth (that grab the hair) won't break or bend and they are gentle and SAFE on your pet's skin. Andis is a leading maker of pet grooming supplies. In fact, they are the number one selling brand among pet grooming professionals. If you have a dog or cat that sheds, you should consider purchasing the Andis Power De-Shedder…I give it a big paws up!

If you own a dog, then unfortunately, you probably need this next product! After all, what dog doesn't have an accident every now and again? Dang is an odor and stain remover made by Bissell. Now Bissell is HUGE in the world of cleaning products so obviously, they know what they are doing! Personally, I LOVE this product's motto which is: Which end did THAT come from? If I only had a nickel for every time I said that…I'd be a billionaire! Dang is an oxygen action pet stain and odor remover that permanently removes vomit and other colored stains (Lord, knows I've seen my share of colored stains…thanks to my chow hound Beagle that eats just about anything and everything!). Dang also removes stains that are created by dyes that unfortunately, are in many popular pet foods.  Dang's sister product is called "Ewww." Ewww works wonders on puppy stains. You know, those wonderful stains that puppies create when they don’t' make it outside in time. I think you know what I'm talking about. If you have a dog, you should seriously consider purchasing Dang and Ewww. After all, it doesn't hurt to have a powerful stain and odor fighter on hand at all times.

Not only do I have three dogs and two cats (that stay indoors)…I also care for three stray cats that live in an outdoor pet igloo that is located behind some bushes in my front yard. There is a stray cat problem in my neighborhood. It was created many years ago when a family brought home two cats (one male and one female), didn't have them "fixed" and allowed them to roam the neighborhood. Well, as you can imagine…two cats have now become MANY! Well, the three cats that live in my front bushes are adorable. I feed and care for them…however; I just don't have enough room in my home to allow them inside. Anyway, the point to my story is this. The winter has been brutal….lots of snow and freezing temperatures. Though the three cats have food, water and shelter…they obviously, don't have heat. Thankfully, a friend of mine told me about the Snuggle Safe Pet Heating Disc. I cannot say enough good things about this product as it provides hours of warmth to the three cats that live in my front yard. So how does it work? Well, first of all, there are no chords or batteries. You simply place the disc in your microwave and heat it up (heating times vary depending on the type of microwave you have). Now I must warn you…the disc becomes VERY hot after the heating process….so be very careful handling it! Once heated, you simply place the disc into the snuggle pouch that comes with it (you do not want your pet's skin to touch the actual disc…therefore, it is very important that you put it into the snuggle pouch before allowing your pet to use it). The disc loses heat gradually…however, it stays warm for ten to twelve hours at a time. This disc is wonderful for pets that live outdoors and pets that have arthritis and joint problems. The disc is hard, however, the snuggle pouch softens it up a bit. It is made of a material that pets cannot damage (bite and claw proof) and is made with NON-TOXIC materials. Finally, I would like to tell you about a dog toy that my dogs absolutely love! The Pet Sock Monster is a machine washable dog (or cat) toy that you wear on your hand…like a puppet. It is approximately fifteen inches long and fits securely thanks to Velcro. This toy is FULLY PADDED so you don't have to worry about Fido biting your hand off. In fact, I barely feel it when my Border Collie bites it. This toy is very unique. It allows you to interact with your dog which of course, enables you to build a stronger bond. It has crinkle paper in the tail, arms and ears and it also rattles. It is very durable as it is handcrafted and the tongue and teeth are made of faux leather.
