My dog follows me everywhere, is that ok?

I have two small dogs. Chihuahua mixes one is 4 years old and the other is a year old. And the four-year-old one, well he pretty much runs the house and he's the boss and then the little one follows me everywhere and anytime he's barking or being naughty the older dog has to make him mind and it's really funny.  But the baby dog follows me everywhere unlike the older dog? Plus I'm totally their human they sleep with me under the covers.  I guess they are not too small the each wiegh 10 pounds.  I I've then so much????????????

Yep. Dogs often follow their humans around. It's perfectly natural.

I have one who does the same thing. She's unable to let me leave her eyesight. She can be sound asleep on my office sofa, and if I even roll my chair back a little, she's by my side, waiting for me to move. When I'm in my studio, she lays on the floor behind wherever I'm working. If I go to the kitchen, she follows me, and goes to her rug there.

My other dog can't be bothered, and only comes to see me if he needs to go outside, or if he thinks food is happening somewhere.

I've had two dogs over the years and they both followed me around. The up side to always having the dog follow you is that you know when they've gotten it mischief. I have 4 kitties now and one of them follows me around--the rest don't care as long as I remember to feed them.

Well the one that follows you sees you as the leader and feels like it has to be by your side for protection or comfort. the other dog is more alpha. he doesn't have to be there for everything he does not see you as the alpha. which is ok as long as he's not violent about it. No I think they are ok just being dogs..
