How do you teach a dog that the 'cone of shame' is OK to wear? )
My dog has just had an operation and tomorrow I'll have to put the dreaded 'cone of shame' on his head to stop him from licking the stiches - any suggestions on how to make this a nicer experience for him? I have a horrible feeling he will hate it...
I've had several dogs that have had to wear these and I hope that someone can answer this question as I would like to see a good answer. All my dogs hated them.
I have the answer. Don't use the cone. Buy an inflatable collar. It fits better and the dogs can see better. He will feel more normal.
Yeah OK, he'll still hate it but....
We had a troublesome terrier. Still do. No way would he wear a cone. And he could get it off in moments. He couldn't get the inflatable collar off though.
Never heard of an inflatable collar, but it sound alike a good idea - where would I find one of those? )
Easy... put one on each of your children . That way the dog will not feel so singled out.

Why is it ok for women to wear long pants and not ok for men to wear dresses?Just seems weird how that is. Of course there was a time when men wore long dresses, still do in the ancient countries.
