First of all the unemployment stats are lies when you run out of UI benefits and labeled a 'discouraged worker' to keep the numbers low when in reality if counted the same as did in the 1930's it would still be double digits. These lying stats started in early 1990's. I remember. They changed the counting and with a stroke of a pen the unemployment went from 23% to 9% overnight. LIES LIES LIES.
People are NOT lazy, they DO want to work. Don't blame the victims!
1. Fewer new openings
2. Lack of real growth
3. Government sector layoffs
4. Chinese job grab
5. High taxes
The wage laborer's starkest choice is to work for an employer or face poverty or starvation.
It is a bald faced lie that discouraged workers are no longer looking for employment, because they ARE looking for work - they simply ran out of unemployment benefits.
