Why is my number so low?

Is my number low because I signed up for hubpages almost a year ago and just started writing? Should I just start a new account?

No need to start a new account. Just try to write regularly, login regularly, after all try increase your activity on hubpage. It will automatically increase your hub score. Go ahead.

Yes, it's all about participation on HubPages. You need to write more hubs and do other things in the HubPages community, such as leaving comments. If you have more hubs you'll also get more traffic each day which can also be good for your personal HubScore.

well one reason is you only have 2 hubs, also you should go around and comment more on other hubs, pick up more followers etc. this might help. Good luck.

All the answers below are good.  I'm no hubscore God, but I do know that you can always improve the hubs that you already have, and that will improve their score, and your score.  Also, comment other hubs, write more hubs, answer questions, keep asking questions, go hub hopping, flag inappropriate material, vote hubs up and (if they deserve it) down, participate in the forums; etc.

Write hubs about things you are really passionate and know a lot about. Things that you know may help your reader or in some way improve their lives, will really get your numbers up!

The fact you only have two hubs after being signed up here for months is probably bringing the score down. Write some good quality hubs and you'll soon see your score skyrocket.

Here are a few suggestions :

    1.  Write article with at least 700 words, more than 1000 words is even better. Anything below that will be under performing.

    2.  Make sure the article is of good quality. What I do is,  "google" for the phrases I want to use to see if they are correctly used.

    3.  Work on your title (this is the most important), and your url should be almost the same, if not the same, as your title, containing the keywords you want google to aim.

    4.  Work on your first paragraph.  (this is also very important), That's the first impression to attract people to read your article.  And it automatically goes into your "summary" (unless you edit this).

    5.  You can analyze what I include in my hubs.... youtube, RSS, your hub links, amazon ad, good clear photo.

    6.  Learn from other hubbers with hubscore above 95...
