Why is HubPages so full of mistakes?

I am really getting fed up up with all the hassle. First I noticed that whenever I Hub Hop I lose points on my Hubber score. The I noticed that several times my feedback accolade is missing.

I just published a poem that has never even been read by my friends. It generated a duplicate warning and marked for revision. You just can't win with HuPages, can you?

If you have the poem posted on other sites then hubpages will reject it. But you are right. I to participate on hubpages and my score drops everytime. So this will be my last time doing any participation on hubs. Was even planning on adding another 18 hubs i wrote but not i am worried to do so.

I am winning with hubpages and  I love it here ! I get to write articles to try help others which I love doing as well as get to read interesting hubs , read other people views on subjects and earn money from my hubs ! Have fun in reccommend another hubbers hub!!
Sure - my hubber score goes up and down however I don't focus on that at all .that is not what hubpages are all about .
You are the one missing out by not participating as that is one way  how you get more viewers.

Does your Hubscore even matter?  What is important is that your writing is reaching people who have never seen it before and are now enjoying and even following you and looking forward to reading more from you.

The more you read Hub, participate in in Question, and forums, the more networking you are doing and the more people will be curious and go to your Hubs and start reading--maybe become a fan.

Relax, write your best, and don't worry about the score.

    Cardisa,

My hubber score rose steadily 22 points in 1 week and just dropped 3 and I have no idea why.I also hub hop like you, but don't notice a drop in my score when doing so.

Weird. We're all in this together.

I would have to say Hubpages just can't win with you.  If you read the changes and misc. updates - those warning will come up at times.  It also says it may be wrong and if so to disregard it.  Read the posts that are all over the forums to clear this up - it should only take you a minute or two.

Hubber score - who cares what it is as long as people are reading your stuff.  And your hubber score is in constant flux, not only when hopping.

Accolades - some come and go depending on your activity - again who cares.

Overall, you seem to be whining about nothing and have not said what the actual problem is.  If you do have a complaint figure out what it is and state it instead of just spinning your wheels complaining about things that do not matter.

The only thing that seems to be an issue here is that your post is 2 months old but coming up on the splash screen.  This is a post that should just be deleted.

    Cardisa-
I had the same problem with Duplicated material.  Hubpages will not allow you to publish a hub that is too similar to any other article anywhere else on the web no matter whose article it is.  It does not matter if you yourself havwe never published it. Someone else already has. That is why when I write about popular topics like Hitchcock or Columbo I write about favourite aspects or reactions to the episodes as I'm the only person with thosereactions.

The time I had a problem with duplication is when I tried to publish a hub on my mother's artwork. Mom is an award-winning member of the Canadian Society of Painters of Watercolour and has an interesting biography I wanted to share as a new member of the website to let others know about my family.
PROBLEM: As an artist, her biography and best known artwork is already discussed and shown elsewhere on the web.  I even tried to write a hub on her account-she joined to follow me, she's not a writer herself. But even when I tried to create a hub with her as a separate hubber, this was not allowed.  we were told tha even though Mom held the copyright for this material, hubpages will not allow duplicate content.  That I found surprising considering Mom owns the copyright for her images. But that is the way hubpages works. So I deleted the hub and wrote a biography for her on her profile, even though she isn't a hubber.

And for those of you criticizing Cardisa-not eveyone who answered the question did, but some did- on participation-I see him listed in forums al lthe time and leaving comments on people's hubs.  He is particpating. Don't asume he isn't participating just because he is talking about hubscore.  He is new like I am.  We don't know something, so we ask a question.  It doesn't mean that the person asking the question wants to focus on his own hubs only.  Cardisa is actually quite an intelligent person.

    Cardisa,
When I first started here two months ago my score rose to 90 after a couple of weeks! It goes up & down from 84-88 on some days...  Traffic does have an impact as well as writing hubs. The rest in between is a mystery. About the duplicate, I have a lot of 'creative' poems & essays that I wrote on a blog and is also circulated on a 'writers' creative forum which I can't delete... So it is very frustration that All my work over the years is just sitting there! Blogs can be difficult in generating traffic; I think I will try some 'organic' "self-publishing."  I feel your frustration and you have my sympathy at best.  -Cheers. :>
