Does it annoy you that it seems that some hubbers follow other hubbers just for the follow back?

Maybe it is just me but, I have noticed that some hubbers will have a list of others that they all of the sudden fallow. One right after the other. Within seconds or minutes from each other. Like "I'll follow this guy so maybe he will fill obligated to follow me back."

It can be annoying. In the worst cases, I see nothing wrong with reporting such serial followers as well.

I don't get annoyed. We all have reasons for following and for following back. We just have to respect them. After all, we're all here to help one another and get our hubs read by as many people as possible.

Personally I follow other hubbers when I like their articles. I do not expect them to follow me back, but it is nice to receive nice feedback. The hubbers who expect to follow them back do not annoy me, because following is the way to spread the word about your hubs inside the community. There are many hubbers who have many follows because they write great hubs, while others are trying to earn followers by following. It is nor a crime, just a way to advertise yourself.

Yeah, it's just you.  It makes no odds to me what other hubbers do.

It doesn't annoy me as I don't really think about what other hubbers do or don't do.  I think everyone can do what they feel is right for their hubs and for exposure.

Well I have over 1000 fans - I'd be very happy if they all read everyone of my hubs but they don't! Most simply add me because they see I have a lot of other fans and a lot of other hubs and therefore assume I will visit all their hubs. Others simply add everyone they can hoping to get some fans back.

Personally it doesn't really matter - I realize that I perhaps have a couple of dozen real fans - and if they like my work then that's all I care about!

Hmmmm....I've never followed anyone until I read your question.  So you're the first person I've followed.  Let's see if you follow back.
