The best time to hit the publish button.

What is the best time and/or day to publish a new Hub?  Do you think that certain days and/or times have more viewing traffic than others?

Personally I do not think that any one date or time is better than the other. However I have found that I tend to get more page views during the middle to later part of the week and then traffic tends to die down a bit over the weekend. But again this can vary based upon long holiday weekends, others work schedules etc.. etc.. Once i have written an article and looked it over for errors I than push the submit button-whether it's 10:00 a.m or 1:00a.m. on a Wednesday or Sunday. The most important thing to do is get the article written, re edited than published.

In my opinion writing is the easy part, creating the links, editing, proof reading, adding the artwork, photos, videos, polls, formatting and research is the hard part.

I usually wait anywhere from three days to a week to hit the publish button, it allows the moderators a chance to read it check your links and analyze any mistakes. This also gives you ten to fifteen page views to start off with.

Then I post each article on Digg, StumbleUpon, RedCage, Imparte and Facebook to create a wider range of viewers.

I published my latest Hub less than an hour ago and it is already at 33 page views and climbing.

I use to think that Fridays were the best to publish, as more people are likely to be online during the weekend since new hubs generally get the maximum traffic during the first few days after publishing. But this is not always true.

Overall I think it depends on the quality of your writing and the content of the hub and not the time of publishing.

The best time to hit the publish button is when you are completely satisfied with the content and have thoroughly proofread the article before submission for publication.  Because Hubpages is quick to label an article as substandard, draft the article in Microsoft word and use the spell check and grammar feature to check for grammatical errors.  Because spell checker is an automatic mechanical device, you as the writer got to read over the content and make sure that the correct words are used to convey your ideas.  Also, don't forget to use the summary capsule to give the internet community what the article is about.

In terms of day or hour, I don't believe there's a difference at all, one way or the other.  People can access HP 24/7.  However, since you bring this up...there is a "moment" when one should hit the "publish" button.
AFTER the writer has gone over their hub as many times as it takes to check and re-check: spelling, grammar, punctuation, intent, context, sentence structure and any other loose end necessary.
It appears far too many hubs are published with out this vital process........too much of a hurry?
"Quality" is so much more important than Quantity or speed.

When do you decide to stop pedaling a bicycle, or shift into the next gear in a standard transmission car. When it feels right to do it.

I have found I get more views if I publish during the week.  Seems like folks are busy with family or whatever to read Hubs on the weekend.
