How often does HubPages update page views?

   How often does HubPages update page views?
   
   In my "My Account" page, my page views generally update every 74 minutes or so. I've noticed at times it will say "Last Updated 18 Minutes Ago" and the page views will change. Also sometimes the page views do not update for 4 hours or more. Is there any rhyme or reason to this? How often do the page views update for you?

   My page views states 111 minutes ago interesting question but  I don't know how often this happens I haven't paid attention now that you have mentioned it will do thanks

   I don't think that there is a set schedule, which is strange. Sometimes it is HOURS, other times it is just minutes. The earnings reports seem to be the same, as at weekends they are nearly always unavailable. It seems that a lot of this needs some manual work, as I can't explain the variances otherwise ... maybe automation is not possible ...

      I've noticed over the past day that the page views are now updating every 74 minutes. After 74 minutes it changes to "18 minutes ago", and everything is updated.

   When they update only they know. Mine hasnt been updated in last 3 hours now. I have seen that usually friday to sunday they are always late in updating the money in your account. Also since they were down about a week or so ago , i been getting only 10% of page views as before ie from 300 or so to less than 30 now so I have stopped caring now.

   My page views didn't update for upwards of four hours but as soon as I read this question and re-check my page views it had updated. Crazy coincidence!

      I noticed that too. As soon as I received the notification that you had answered this I saw that mine updated. Maybe you can do a rain dance in the Midwest...??

   They update hourly, usually around the 20 past mark. Recently, they have been updating two hourly, if at all. That has (in my experience) always been a sign that they are doing site re-structuring. At the moment we know they are bringing in new changes to idle hubs starting on Monday, but many times we are not aware of exactly what it is they are doing. When it all settles down, it will go back to hourly updates as I have already stated.

   Baffled am I as well.   I have tried to figure out if they extract the visits that I make from the totals and sometimes I think they do.

      They don't. The rolling stats shows all views, your own included, even those on HP's share of the time. It may be a bit behind. The hourly update is not necessarily the previous hour's views.
