Before you remove those hubs that you put all of that hard work and time into, maybe you could try adding some tags and sprucing some of the hubs up some. You don't have anything to lose by giving your hard work a little more time, and if this doesn't work you can always go ahead with plan A. But once they are gone, it's hard to get them back. Keep on hubbing  smile

I would just leave them alone for now...you did write them and spent some time on them right?  If this bothers you, perhaps you can proofread it and then revise more for content.

You should work hard at SEO on each hub, then give it time with Google. You cannot know how a hub is going to perform over the next six months. Only after hard work, time, and performance reviews can you determine whether a hub should be axed. Some will and hopefully most won't! But getting rid of deadwood does help your page. You must also make sure the content is commercially viable. I see you're very new, so I encourage you to keep hard at perfecting your content. Don't remove anything right now. I've been here one year and have just begun moving helpless content (about 30 hubs) to my blog. I saw my traffic jump--that is, before Google changed its algorithm and slashed everything in half!

I agree with ithabise. It took my best producing hub at Google about a year to be in a state of consistent earning. Monitor the hubs. Like a cake you take it out of the oven and let it rise slowly or is that bread? Group your hubs by productivity.

I would suggest leaving them, but don't forget about them.  Periodically review them and update them or make corrections.  Sometimes when we go back and re-read old hubs new ideas make them better.

I would keep them for now and try to boost traffic by:

    1. revisiting in order of priority ie. worst performing first
    2. look at the title - can it be shortened/improved/changed?
    3. look at the tags/summaries and add or take away words here and there...fine tune.
    4. double check links and rss feeds.
    5. add images/photos...or get rid of!
    6. improving text capsules...small additions/more useful info....
    7. re-reading/editing/reshaping.
    8. give them all time, try and get more positive links and after 5-6 months if they're still poor copy them and save and delete or transfer to a blog.

    Best of luck!

I never have, I know that they were well written and interesting or at least by my standards. Some hubs are seasonal so they may not rank high out of season, or simply the interest factor.  I may have to add better tags, change the name a bit, add links.........If you do feel pressed to remove them be sure to copy them in a separate folder just in case you change your mind or choose to up-date it later. Good question and thanks for hubbing.

HubScores are pretty meaningless in terms of readership outside HubPages, so just ignore them.

I have some hubs that I really like that have never gotten much attention or traffic here at HubPages. I have been gradually moving those hubs to other sites. It has not affected my trickle of traffic much, because those hubs got darned few views anyway. It's too early to tell if they will do any better elsewhere.

That does not mean that I'm giving up on HubPages. Those hubs that are getting the most views here, I will leave. I'm trying to get a feel for which ones do the best here so I can add more hubs that have a better shot.
