Who loves hopping hubs?
I just love hopping hubs and I wonder how many others do it.
I do it when I have some extra time (which isn't too often). Sometimes I get a whole string of really bad Hubs and I just don't care to do it anymore... and other times I get to read some really well done Hubs.
I wouldn't say that I love it. Although, I do find reading other peoples's work very interesting.
I wouldn't use a word like "enjoy." I suppose it's our duty, and like a good HP soldier, I soldier on and hop as far as I can until I get tired of shaking my head.
I'm fairly new to HP, and when I first hopped, I thought (and I hope I'm not alone in thinking this): Um, is HP a glorified blog? Where are the articles? These are advertisements and personal thoughts and online diaries and diatribes and Bible lessons and photo essays without the actual essay and sales pitches for a specific business written by someone from that business and random lists and--oh, here's an actual article. Whoa. Look at how the writer worked in all the eBay offerings seamlessly into a 100-word "article." The next one looks as if the writer used a thesaurus to "revise" the technical specs from Amazon.com. This next one has a misspelled word in the title, this one's a letter to a family member, this one uses no capitalization or punctuation ...
Before we were able to assess creative writing using the sliders, I often had to skip some really good poetry and short stories. Now, I spend more time enjoying and rating the creative hubs than I do the nonfiction (so to speak) hubs.
Yes and no. for every interesting hub you see, you encounter a string of ones that are frankly embarrassing. I would prefer it if the titles were presented in a list so you could just click on what interests you.
I enjoy hub hopping and stumbling across interesting hubs that I may not have otherwise encountered.
I don't like hub hopping at all. I tried it for a while but most of the topics held no interests for me. Instead, I just like to type in a Key Word like LEGO, Spider-Man, Star Wars, or cartoon dinosaurs and read what pops up. Kind of a way to "Hop" on topics I enjoy.
Yes having to read something that's of no interest to me is the only thing about hub hopping that bugs me. I rate them lower than the ones that interest me. It would be fairer to the hub's authors if there was a 'skip' button for those we don't like.

I'm curious as to whether there has been a decrease in hubbers using the hub hopper to rate hubs. I just have a feeling there is because my hub scores haven't been fluctuating as much (which is fine with me). Overall, I'm wondering if there's been a bit of a slow down in hub QAP due to...

Do you like the new hub hopping? What I do like about the new hub hopping is they way you can rate grammar separately from creativity. What I do not like, is we are forced to read a hub we have no interest in. It seems we can not hop forward without rating a hub. This will...

You know, I see forum posts complaining about how the forums are boring or dying. I see people complaining about how there's all "Indian Aunties" hubs or picture hubs, how people don't edit, it's all marketing crap and nothing good to read... and then I find these amazing...

I occasionally hub-hop, but most of the time I come away from it feeling like I haven't really accomplished much as far as "improving HubPages" goes.So tonight, just for laughs, I decided to type "mesothelioma" into the search box at the top of HubPages' homepage. I then sorted...

There is a new Hub Hopper that is available today. I've posted some details about it on the blog and set this thread up to discuss it and to get feedback. *Note, the Hopper is only collecting data right now, but will soon be used to select Hubs to feature.
