Why am I signed in to my profile yet asked to do another sign in my account?

    Why am I signed in to my profile yet asked to do another sign in my account?

    I am signed in in my profile and can go to my hubs but when I clicked "account" it required me to sign in again. Does this mean that somebody else is using my account page and that I am hacked?

    Not necessarily. Change your password and make sure that your primary email is the only email that receives anything from HubPages. Also, you have to remember that you're only signed into your account for 48 hours. That means that regardless of if you're actively online, when that 48 hours is up, you have to sign back into your account. I wouldn't be too worried about being hacked. How many times has this happened in a 24 hour period? One way to tell if you've been hacked is to see if there has been anything malicious added by/to your account (spam).       Thanks for  the explanation. I am just a bit paranoid with hackers; lots of my internet activities had been either grabbed or corrupted.

      I'm sorry. But remember not all hackers are malicious. Some of us want to help make things better.

      If that is the case then I am talking about those particular hackers who caused me so much trouble in the net and in my own computer and files. I had really serious problems about these, money, efforts, time and not to mention paranoia...
