   If a total stranger follows you on Google plus, Twitter or Facebook, what do you do?

   I follow back most times because the more followers I have, the higher traffic I can have to my hubs and other articles.  Sometimes, I may decide not to follow somebody for example, on facebook there are people who try to hit on me-I'm married and don't want that.

      LoisRyan, I totally agree with you. I find the question rather odd because I thought that this is what a social network is all about. After all, how many friends in real life can you have, if you have to solely depend on them for your hub traffic?

   Well I always check out their page first and try to get a feeling.
   
   But for the most part, I am guided to what is wrong and right.
   
   So you could thank them for following you and follow back.
   If they are hitting on you and dont stop then delete them and move on, plain and simple.
   
   However if you feel it is a stalker, report them and that is that hopefully.
   
   Fb I do not have nor do I have twitter. I have heard stories of fake pages/stalkers/rude people on fb so no, in that case I would not. I did have fb and only allowed my friends/family thats it.
   
   Look at that Airos guy that held those 3 girls captive, that should be a good example, he had a fb page and everyone thought he was so nice. He even worshiped God. He said "God is good, there is miracles" and bam he was caught.

      I limit my use on FB with family and friends from work.  I use it for the Womens Bible Cafe excellent Bible Study group

   I only use my current facebook for friends and family, so if I don't know the person, I'll deny their request. If it's Twitter or Google+, I'll look at their page to see how they might have found me (be it another follower, or other networks like HubPages). I don't follow back everyone, but I do follow back if we share a social network or common interests. If it means extra traffic, I figure it couldn't hurt.

   I have a separate FB account just for promoting my writing, I accept most people who want to friend me there. I also have a private account where I accept only people I actually know in the real world. As for twitter, whoever follows me is fine. I check their profile and tweets, if they seem interesting I follow them, same for Google +. I don't post anything I don't want publicly known there.
