What can Hubpages do to help stop SPAM in our forums?

Report this SPAM, fellow Hubbers!  These SPAM questions about bed linens are currently dominating the forum. Of course, as quick as Hubpages deletes them, more will pop up in the forum.   What can we do to stop this, any ideas?

What, you mean all those people with questions about bed linens and comforters aren't legit? Damn.

Lol:-)  I know it is a little thing, but SPAM at this level kind of ruins the Q&A forum.  HP is usually pretty good about deleting the posts, but maybe they could put a few 'hurdles' in place so it is not so easy to post SPAM.

Way to go Hubpages!  Within an hour of reporting several SPAM posts in the Q&A forum, the admin at HP has deleted the posts.  Great work Hubpages, thanks for the quick action.  I would love to see some 'hurdles' put in place to help prevent the SPAM.  My suggestions, while only my humble opinions, are to require at least some profile information be filled out before posting, and limiting the amount of questions one user can ask in a day.  A trial period for asking questions may be an idea, also.  I know HP wants to make it easy for new users to join, but it is also easy for SPAM-bots.  Thanks for the great website, Hubpages!

The first thing I do whenever I come to this section of the site is scroll down the list of new questions, and report all the spam posts. It only takes a minute or two, and they generally disappear before I get done answering one or two real questions.

There were so many spam posts when I logged in this morning that it would've taken a LOT longer than two minutes to report them all....usually I'll zap them, but I took one look and went "Aw, forget it, I don't have time," haha
