When hubs go to network sites, do we need to update public domain photo credits?
I noticed that every time one of my articles is moved to a network site, the pixabay link back and cc0 public domain caption disappears. Do I need to go on each article and update each image caption & source? Thanks to anyone that can answer this for me.
I always use the Name of Source option (1st option). That is where I put the attribution; John Doe, CC0 Public Domain, via Pixabay. Generally I don't use the Source URL option (2nd option). Then I do use the Caption option (3rd) for SEO purposes. It is recommended.
At both HP and a Niche site I see below the caption a 'Source' Link. I see both at HP & a Niche site the Name of Source appears when clicked. But, if I did use the URL Source option it is a link going to the URL seen as being blue. But, I do not have a Hub at a Niche site with an image using the URL option to check. I would think they are the same.
I hope that helps.
Thanks Tim I'll try to do the first option. I'm not sure if any of that (other than my seo info in the caption) will actually show up once I click "done editing". All that info seems to disappear and only shows up in edit mode.

Just wondering, is it necessary to mention source link while using photos from search engines. And, if I do will it be beneficial for my hub or not?

I am wondering, if the credits for the photos must be under each photo, or, if there is a lengthy attribution that is somewhat complex (such as the photo being public domain here in the USA, but not in other countries), if it can appear elsewhere in the Hub?Would it be permissible instead to...

Hi there, joined HP a little while ago but only just got round to writing my first hub. It is going to be an historical piece but seem to be spending most of my time trying to find who owns copyright to the images I would like to use, which are all dated between 1920's and 1950's, and then trying...

1. Download image on device. 2. Save photo3. Upload to hub pages photo capsule on your article.Ok I got this part down. I know you don't have to attribute the photo, but what do I put for the source and URL? Just leave it blank?

They won't index any of the 40 or so articles I wrote on my blog or even the home page. They say it's low value content. The articles are short, maybe 500 words and some less, but I don't need to go beyond that if I can explain things in few words. If ranking of the network sites falls even...

I just came across This Post that discusses a new database on Flickr where you can search over 2.5 million public domain images from books and other publications dating to 500 years old.Of course you can go right to Flickr but the above linked article shows exactly how to navigate the...
