Links tool not working in FF or Chrome

Since the other thread was closed to reply, I opened a new one.  I followed all your suggestions from the last thread.  In fact, I realized my FF was out of date because, frankly, I don't like using it.  I ran into all kinds of problems with it about a year ago.  Anyway, I updated, cleared history, etc.  I did the same for Chrome just to make sure.

In FF, I now am able to use the tool but not for much.  When I highlight a word, I now get different suggestions.  However, I have no way of putting my own links into the article.  There's no option for doing so.

    hope this helps.

      Terri

The suggest link tool is provided to suggest Hubs that may match the linked text.

If you want to add custom hyperlinks to your Hubs, simply use the link tool while editing a text capsule.

    Matthew,

I'm so sorry.  I didn't explain what I meant about the links tool for my own links.  I have already used it in the past and it worked fine, but hasn't been working.  As it turns out, it's not HP's fault.  I use a 4G Hotspot.  I discovered that it keeps dropping down to 3G which is slow as molasses.  When I used the links tool in the text capsule, the pop up box wasn't popping...apparently because I wasn't waiting long enough....like 5 minutes or more.  I discovered the problem with my Hotspot, reset it and now the box is showing up.  Again, I'm so sorry for being one of those Hubbers you love to hate when it comes to lack of tech skills. smile

Thanks for all your hard work,   Terri
