Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I recently read a post asking for recipes and now that I've dug one out, I cannot find the hub again.
Laura’s Salmon Pie
Salmon: 1and a half pounds.
Puff Pastry: 1 packet
Cheese: half a pound (grated)
Garlic: 3 cloves
Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
Corn Flour: 1 tablespoon
Milk: Half a cup.
Place the salmon into a pan and add the milk. Boil for 10 minutes.
Check for any bones left in Salmon.
Remove salmon from the pan and leave to cool.
Fry the mushrooms and garlic in olive oil then empty into the pan which you fried the salmon in.
Add the cheese and the cornflower to the milk, also the mushrooms and garlic, mix it all into a paste then let it cool.
Roll out 2 sheets of the puff pastry together onto a board.
Spread a layer of the mushroom mix onto the pastry and add a layer of salmon on top of the mushrooms.
Roll it all up like a sausage roll.
Bake at 350 degrees in an oven till pastry is cooked. (about 20 to 30 minutes)Keep checking.
Serve when ready, or freeze until needed.
If anyone tries this, please send me your comments.
