Over at Squidoo I'm melbel and melbel here. However, when I attempt to move my lenses to HubPages, I'm forced to create a new HP account. Is there a way I can just merge my lenses into my pre-existing HubPages account?
This is by design.
There wasn't really any other way to isolate the content and to make sure that we could provide a time period for authors to adjust to the different content standards.

Melbel, this got hashed out mostly two weeks back, when the acquisition was first announced.
Short answer: no.
Medium answer: HubPages feels it's going to be better to do it this way. Due to redirects, how subdomains are viewed by Google and more.
