If you post a link to your profile or a hub in a conversation online (like msn), does it work the same way as backlinking? I mean, I know its not perminent and you're unlikely to get more than one click, But it does count as legitimate traffic etc doesnt it?

I just wondered if anyone backlinked their backlinks, like putting Shetoldme links on Reddit for example. I'm seriously running outta ideas of how to get traffic.

I am wondering, when I create a backlink to my hubs, should I create a backlink to each of the hubs separately(i.e. username.hubpages.com/my-hub) , or would creating a backlink to the main page (username.hubpages.com)...

OK now I am more than confused. I just figured out that back link is putting a link lets say on facebook to a hub here. I would think that doing this from more than one place would be good. more links coming...
