YouTube Video Question

    Good afternoon, folks,

I was wondering if we put a YouTube video link on one of our hubs do we have to get permission first from the person who recorded the video? Or is it just assumed that if you put a video on YouTube that you run the risk of the video being shared? After all, I see YouTube videos passed around the net all the time.

YouTube gives anyone who uploads a video the option to authorize or not authorize sharing via code embedding. So those that provide embed code have clearly authorized sharing in this way, therefore no other permission is necessary.

In most youtube videos i see that the uploader of the video linking to his site at the bottom of the video.

If i link that video in hubpages, will it be counted as overly promotion?

No. Not if you just link the video. You can't influence what he does on his page. Overly promotional applies when YOU are trying to promote something. Which is why you can have as many links as you want to sites like wikipedia.
