How would you change the world if you won the lottery?

It doesn't matter how much you will have won since it will most likely be a lot. There will be opportunity to make a difference and cause change. How would you?

I would set up funding for grants for those who slip through the cracks in our modern system.  Those who earn too much for public assistance, but too little to afford college classes or investing in their own businesses etc. Those who are always a paycheck or two at most away from complete ruin.  I'd help people move up on their own terms and not be dependent on the state or on punching a time clock at a McJob just to scrape by and barely make ends meet.  Pay for them to get a marketable trade or skill.  Many colleges have certification classes, but things like the Pell grants are only available for 2 year degree programs.  Some people are just not equipped to pay for a short certification course and unable to attend long enough for the degree etc. Those are the people I think could benefit the most.

I'd also set up scholarships for bright children who show initiative but are socioeconomically disadvantaged to the point they may not be able to get into better schools when/if they graduate.

I would equip myself with a worthy laptop or tablet and a new smartphone. I would find a person who knows how to get patents, and I would patent my ideas that make life easier. Next would be a plan for new business ventures of other people, as well as a plan for easing suffering for as many as possible. I would use some of the money to make money, and I would certainly make sure all my children were alright. I would remember my dear friends that have seen me through hard days. I hope I would use the money, all in all, for the spread of the Good News. I hope.

Many people have many Ideas what they would do, and people that experience this outcome start out sincerely , yet
To find out they can be penalize by taxes  in giving to help others , that is how the rich stay rich, the poor stay poor because of a higher and unseen  influence.
It is better tto be  rich spiritually where your treasure in that will give you life etenal, New future of a paradise for life, property you will own and live in without worries of taxes,
and good health to enjoy it all,
money in this system will lose value again like the great depression but a worser outcome

they will rebuild the desolated cities and inhabit them; They will plant vineyards and drink their wine, And make gardens and eat their fruit.’

First of all, I have to by a ticket or get one as a gift. In case of winning, I would insist to stay anonymous. Then I would inform my family and make plan together. In any case, we won't "change the world." My life wouldn't change. I never had much money, first time I had more than needed, I published a book, distributing for free to anyone who wanted...Presently I am not a dreamer, being led by the Spirit of the Father, He will lead me and direct to "help" those who need  the most...

I don't think even if we win a big lottery , we can change the world. People will still do what they want to.   We can only change ourselves.

Great answer. I am reading a book on how Bill Gates donated about $250 million to end world hunger. They bought food to give to the poor in the affected countries, drove prices up, and made more people hungry!!

Good point DrMark, that reminds me of the many donations , and charity taken from people's checks to help hunger, and certain countries lock up food in their warehouses
And the people still die and never get the food.so sad but soon to end.
