Would you quit work if you won the lottery?

With the Mega Millions now over $500 million, it's one of those neat things to think about. I think I'd still go to work. I'd set up a trust for my kids and do some other things, but I'd probably still go to work, if nothing else for the health insurance. Also, if I didn't go to work, I'd just sit around and think of ways to spend the money.

I would quit because I am near retirement age and it is getting harder and harder to even get into the building at work.  So yes, I would quit and start making my house "old couple" friendly.

I would still work. I enjoy the career I have, but would probably take it a to a new level. Would definitely take time off for a while to soak it all in and make plans for the money. (Investments, retirement fund, etc.)

What type of investments would you make? IRA, mutual funds, small businesses, entreprenuership investments, charities? Do you know of any good ones in the States?

I think winning so much money could be bad as well as good for you.. Only option would be a ranch/farm for me

No. If one were to win the lottery and quit working they only become the epitomy of someone who does not help in the maturation of society. If I were to win the lottery, I would most likely switch my line of work toward a different occupation and a more decent cause so that I would not die having hoarded my wealth, resources and intelligence on my way to cross the eye of the needle that Jesus spoke of.
