   Thinking about getting my G.E.D. at 29
   
   I am actually nervous because I haven't been in school in so long, although I have been working. I am really afraid that I will do terribly. Any advise from anyone?

   My advice is don't worry about doing terribly.  Just think positive!!  I think it is great that you are taking the steps to receive your G.E.D.  It is never to late.  Just relax, refresh your memory abit, and I am positive you will do just fine!!!!!  Best of Luck!!

   Yes, go to the library and find GED prep books.   Peterson's guide to GED test prep is found at virtually all libraries.  Other materials will be available at your local library. 
   
   Do not pay for any of the GED prep packages, all of that information can be found in the library.

   Trust yourself, and I think its great that you are concidering getting your GED. I went back to school at 20 yrs old and graduated and Im glad I did that. Alot of people thought i wouldnt do it, but I did. More for me then anyone else. Thats what you should do. Do it for yourself. I wish you much luck. Blessings, peace, love, and light!

   From a GED graduate at 35, I can tell you that it really is not as bad as it seems. I scared myself into thinking I would fail, but I actually passed! I then took my pre-admission test for college and passed all with 97% or better! Since then I graduated from Nursing school with a 3.85 GPA and am continuing my education. Believe me when I say, ANYTHING is possible.
   However, Algebra was never my thing, and I don't know how you feel about it, but I bought the book "GED Mathematics by McGraw-Hills and it taught me everything in simple terms! I have kept the book to now help with my daughters homework as I am still no pro with numbers.
   Believe in yourself, take the GED Classes or buy a study book and Good Luck!!!

   hi,
   congrats on taking the decision to get your G.E.D. it doesn't matter how old you are, only the thought and attitude matters.
   you do not have to go to school to take the test. you can take it up online as well.
