What is your all time favorite romantic or romantic comedy movie?  (Valentine's Day is coming!)

Don't let the name of the movie fool you. It's quite romantic. A boy and a girl who have been friends all their lives finally figure out they are in love with each other while on a cross country road trip.

It's only one reply pigfish!  Give it some time to get going before you judge us all.

The one that I really like wasn't a movie it was an old mini-series Pride and Prejudice that was produced by the BBC.  I didn't think I would like it at first, but it's the one that I watch more often from time to time.

Ok, Flightkeeper, I've pushed my patience button.

One of my favs is "Sense and Sensibility", the movie version with Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant and Kate Winslett.  Melts my heart everytime!

When Harry Met Sally is the best romantic comedy of all time - and I don't like Meg Ryan.   A few others I like are Love Actually, Pretty Woman, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Beautiful Girls.

I've seen ONE Rom-Com in my life and wanted to blow my brains out...it was one of the worst movie watching experiences of my life

Does that make me not romantic? I tend to think not...

I just don't really give a rat's ass about the romances of OTHER people. Perhaps because my own romantic life is far from dead, but I find the contrived bullcrap of rom-coms to be offensive to anybody out there who puts REAL effort into finding/pleasing THE ONE...

dumb crap like stealing someone's girlfriend because she was more right for you or breaking up a wedding because she was going to marry the wrong guy is the type of CRAP that ruins LIVES

I absolutely loathe rom-coms and if i were a studio exec I would never greenlight one despite the fact that they are low-budget cash cows designed to make money hand over fist off of pathetic losers that can't cop a date

EDIT: TERMINATOR is my favorite romance of all-time
