Grandmothers that Are Like Mothers, We Have So Much Faith in them

Dedicated to the Mothers and Grand mothers from HP, You know who You Are!!

Pulsing the Hubs

We've seen real grandmas commenting. Even though they might be busy, they come to join us. Take the case of Faith Reaper.... she is babysitting this weekend, but takes her time to be with us.

Debbie Brooks uploading her pictures to FB, before publishing her next installment, she makes sure she calls to check on her grand-kids. And sometimes she gets surprises, "Mom, my wife is pregnant again," says her son.

So life keeps its cycle, and we watch with joy on a virtual screen of life. Just look at our friend Becky Katz: busy as she can be.

Keep coming inspiration

make us feel complete

Grandmas so full of adoration

There is nothing more sweet...

A Grandmother told me...

I thought I was spoiling my kids, but my grand children? Oh my goodness... don't get me started!

The love from a grandmother becomes double reward on a reciprocal level. Just to let you know guys that this is being written from pure inspiration (angels? muses? God?). So whatever you read as follows is not even thought of... until we just keep on writing. Amazing huh?

Grand mothers are really a blessing for everyone. From words like:

"grandma is here!!"

"please granny, can you make me that pie next Sunday?"

"Shoot! Don't tell my mom. Please!"

"Yes, forgive me grandma. I took grandpas tools..."

This is a clear allusion of traces of love that stay in us for the longest. For some reason they fit right in in everybody's lives. God must've knew all along about this pact made in heaven.

Debbie Brooks and Susan Zutautas glad to have you in our minds

Loving grandmothers that gave us joy and never left us blind

Pamela99 and Becky Katz, that southern flair that really care..

Emotionally disturbed reckoning sleepless nights rocking that chair...

Never contradict grandma..

Curious title right?

Not only mommy is right. Grandma was right even before mom was even a project of life. Grandma has the best recipe that your mom learned from. Grandma knew of house remedies even before Walmart, Walgreens or Rite Aid came into the picture with their 24 hours Pharmacy Service -- Well in some areas.

You cannot contradict grandma. Knowledge gathered through the years are at hand for her to say the last word, Who said that? Ask your mom! I did ask mine already.

That Love From a Grandmother...

Doesn't have compare. You cannot substitute her care. Trying to write prose and I end up with these words... sometimes it gives me the chills... "don't get scared"

Our grandmothers are silent heroes that give their lives and their time. They want the best for us and they really loved us to the end... end? Unfortunately they were here long enough to truly love you, but have to take that trip to check the other side for us. See? They even know they want their best for us and sacrifice their "out of this world" time just to find out what's coming up for us.

So Next time You See Grandma..

Come around her and take your time with her. If you are still lucky to be around them, ask them about you when you were a baby. Start listening the words that were kept deep inside... until now.

They know what became of you, and where you are heading. Their minds are closing that cycle of life. Try to capture the best moments you've ever had. Start checking photo albums and upload them into the net. They will be glad you are doing things they cannot do anymore. Don't forget those recipes and holidays that stayed in the past. They know it all. They were just waiting from you to make these moves. God bless them all!

Good Evening Lord!!! Oh, me, there are no words except . . .AWESOME and voted way up all across the board, as being a grandmother is funny and joyful too!!! This is perfect and just in time for (or right before) National Grandparents Day - next weekend, which I just found out about today myself. You have made me smile with this one, as it is true, there is just something about those grandchildren that make life extra special. Our children are special too, of course, but just cannot put it into words. But the smile is really from just the thought of you taking the time to think about your hubber friends who are grandparents - now that is someone who truly takes the time to get to know his fellow hubbers so well, and that is what made me smile and how thoughtful you are to write such a hub. God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Hi Debbie - I will be blessed with another grandchild in October, but this time a grandson!!! Awesome. I love them all. And my son started blessing me with granddaughters at the young age of 19, and he is the one to bless me with a grandson. I told him, he is making me a grandmother so young, but now I would not trade it for the world. My daughter, who is 29, has not found the right man, and so she has had no children yet, but I told her that is fine with me, as we are good right now, and it is best to find the right man first. God bless and congratulations. In His Love, Faith Reaper

(lord, sorry for the interjection here, but I could not resist)

Joseph, thank you for this loving and wonderful tribute to grandmothers, specifically the Hub grandmothers you mentioned here. Beautiful Lord - I do miss my gram every day. We were VERY close and I spoke to her almost every day - my entire life until she died when Laurel was 2.

My gram was head of food control at The Chase Park Plaza Hotel for decades. She taught me to cook, not to sweat the small stuff and how to have a fun life:).

Thanks for writing this:). I was going through one of her cook books yesterday and I found a recipe for a Fruitcake written in her own hand...so cool. Then I cracked up thinking of all recipes she would leave that for a joke:) lol

Kelly LOL! See what I wrote at the end of the hub? Time goes fast when you are with them. You don't have idea of the stories they can tell us. I wish I had more time, when I was in college, to spend it with her. But as your "gram" I was told of how life used to be. She was a wonderful herbalist and a midwife. How cool! Thanks for sharing your story my friend. Sending a prayer for all the grandmas!

Oh, how I miss my grandma so much. I grew up with her, took care of me, dropped me off to school and back; would fight for anyone who would pick on me. She made the best pancake ever with peanut butter spread instead of syrup topping *now drooling* . You see, my mom was a working mom and though I had a good relationship with her, grandma was my confidante, my accomplice, my partner in crime. He..he..he...

Sadly, I didn't get the chance to see her when the big guy up there decided to take her back. I was trapped in the Gulf War (Kuwait & Iraq) then and it was so painful. Her spirit came to visit me though and hugged me.

Bless you and all the grannies out there.

This hub is excellent. Grandmas are the lifeline in a lot of families and if they weren't there to provide the assistance required, many children and adults wouldn't make it. To my grandma and grandmas all over the world, I wish you the best and keep up the great work.

I love where your muse takes you! This is a thoughtful and warming hub with lovely poetry thrown in for the ride. I don't think there's a soul alive that doesn't have or remember their grandmother with love...oh, and being a grandmother, nothing compares. Yes, I have six with one on the way.

Hi Mary, I don't mind! I see and sense your grandma's quintassential love for those grandkids through your words. I think myself, that without my own granny I wouldn't have been here as well. Mother had to work and grandma was there to take care of Joseph. So your labor of love as a grandma is not in vain. Thanks again for checking on me and our inspirations, Mary.

I never wanted to be a grandmother, but ever since I became one, I know that grandmotherhood is the cherry on the cake called Life. I can be how tired and even ill, just seeing one of my grandchildren cheers me up. I call mine my rewards - Awards, because I've conquered all adversary.

This is a beautiful, thoughtful tribute to grandmothers. Thank you, lord de cross. Your ability to realize the unique love grandmothers have for their grandchildren - not comparable to any other kind of love - is truly impressive and makes me love you even more.

This is a beautiful hub. Grandma's are the best thing in our lives. Unconditional love, spoiling and wise enough to know when to chill on the punishments and just have a long talk and a hug. I have ten now and I believe that is it from my oldest three. My younger two are not ready yet, thankfully. Grandbabies are such a joy and I almost get knocked off my feet when they see me. Their hugs and kisses are like a drug. I cannot get enough of them. Thank you for sharing this with us all.

Amazing tribute to all Grandmas. You know Lord, in our culture it is said that the interest (grandchildren) is more loved than the principal amount (son/daughter) and we see it all around when grandchildren are given a lot of liberty while their parents were not, at the same age.

Beautiful hub.

Lifes second chances, Thanks for reading us. Grandmothers were and are a blessing. I appreciate your visit nd thanks for taking your time in reading us.

@Hi Martie dear, My upbringing was nurtured with love and care. Mother and grandmother gave a different vision of the world. Most likely your read me through their way penned down in here. Thanks for your heartfelt commenting Martie!

@Becky Katz, there you go! That drug has to be fed continuosly with care. Grandkids are a blessing to all of us. You have a nice day, and my respects to you and all the wonderful grandmas.

@Thanks again Debbie. You are your grandkids made a match from heaven for sure. Your love for them is priceless. Your grand daughter Fanny is an angel. Well all of them! God bless you dear!

@Rosemay50, You have confirmed what so many have said: grandmas did a wonderful job without expecting much, but love from their second time around babies. I still remember, both of my grandmas. Between bakery, cooking and herbalism, they fed my young brain! Thanks for sharing your own perspective Rosemay!

@Rajan Jolly, That's is so true. If we didn't spoil our kids. We will make up eventually with our own grandkids. Just by hearing, " grandma is home," we can notice the change of mood and expectations. Nice to hear from your side of the world Rajan!

Many babies even side with their grandparents more than their mommies or daddies. I've known someone whose niece is closer to her grandmother more than she is to her own mother, which is funny (and touching).

This hub is quite timely, as September is the Grandparents' Month, so treat your grandmommies and grandaddies great love and care, not just for this month, but for the rest of their remaining lives.

Great hub all around. Voted this one up! :)

I love this, LDC. My grandma raised me so she's always been there for me and a shining role-model during my upbringing. She means the world for me and has transferred much of her wisdom unto me and I know so much just by listening to her and understanding why things are the way they are. Grandmas are powerful! They know so much and have experienced so much more. That is why they can tell you what you need to hear, not always what you want to hear. Loved this.
