What is it that makes you proud of your children?
My children are involved in a lot of activities, do well in school, but I think various character qualities give me pride. What do your children do that makes you proud?
That they were able to reach successes in life far and above what I had accomplished, that they grew up without drug use or abuse, kept on going to church after they moved out and are instilling good moral character in their own kids.
My daughter is almost 11 years old and I am so proud of her for lots of reasons.
She moved with me to England four years ago after a painful divorce. She adapted really well, does well in school, she is very loving and kind, she cares about animals and raises funds for animal shelters, she is full of energy and loves life. On Sunday she is competing in the Heart of England Cheer leading Competition, but even if she doesn't take top prize, she is still a winner to me.
I have four beautiful kids. Ages start from 27 through 12. I would have to say, I am. So very proud of each one of them for making it through their child-hood unscared by all the events that happened between their Father and I. He was always cheating, lying, and gambling every cent we ever made. After he finally left us there were many times we had litte to eat, the ever present threat of utilities being shut off, trouble making rent, and hand-me-downs. There were, of coarse, more trials that we faced together that I will not mention. However, I am very proud of each one for becoming kind, loving, compassionate young people who have no resentment in their hearts. They are my greatest accomplishment!! I wouldnt change the way I raised them for anything. Because it would change the wonderful children they are. So proud of all of you!! Love you A,Z,T, and P!!!!!!
My son has started tap dancing. I think it is awesome! I never had the nerve to try and learn how to dance, and there has been more than one occasion I have regretted that. He is also the most friendly person I know. My son has never met someone who isn't considered a friend. From a random person at a bus stop to Dr appts, he treats everyone as a good friend.
My daughter is only two, but already she has an ability to make people smile and laugh. She loves to dance and anything her big brother is doing HAS to be the coolest thing ever! She is also very independent and able to do far more than I think I could at her age. It is a true blessing to see them grow up so differently. Thanks for the question, what a great opportunity to celebrate our children!
