How many times can you reuse cooking oil?
I was looking a show on different restaurants, and they stated that they reused their cooking oil over 100 times. I really would hate to think what their food tasted like!!! Cooking oil has a tendency to absorb flavors of many foods.
I never reuse cooking oil, just use as much as you need tthe dump it when finished.
You can use it many times. But the best thing is to use it for lesser repetitions. the more you use it, more harmful it becomes for health. it even changes colour and becomes darker. better to use it 2-3 times.
Cooking oil will take on the flavor of any food that your cooking I myself only use oil over on the same thing I use it on in the first place meaning if I use the oil on chicken then that what I reuse it on plus after each use I strain it through a cheese cloth so any particles from the chicken will not be left over in the oil this keeps the oil cleaner and I might only use it a a few times because as you use old grease it gets thinner every time.
It depends on the oil. Peanut oil can be reused several times because it has a high smoke point and is good for deep frying. Olive oil is terrible for deep frying because it has a low smoke point and breaks down into harmful compounds at high temperatures. If you reuse olive oil you're ingesting carcinogens.

What do you do with used cooking oil? When we deep fry foods we always have the grease left over and then what do you do? Just wondering what some of y'all do with yours. Incidentally, I don't fry foods much anymore but once in a while we love our fried chicken, okra and potatoes.
