My grandparents were from Bari, Italy and my grandma, Rosa, made a pie every year on the Feast of St. Joseph (March 19). This pie was filled with scallions, green olives, raisins, peas, anchovies and mushrooms. The crust is made with white wine and olive oil. The whole thing is sprinkled with sugar. It may sound strange, but it sure is delicious, especially with a glass of wine!
