Why Fan Mails Not Getting Delivered ?

I did a little experiment by using a new user id as my fan, to check whether my fan mails are being properly delivered. When we click the "Publish" Button it takes a long time for the hub to be published. Only after 10 minutes or so the hub will be properly published. I found out that only if the hub shows a message " This Hub has been Published........so and so", then only the fan mail will be properly delivered. Some times it happens that even after 10 minutes the hub will be in edit mode and the message wont be shown. But if we check the Hubitivity and Profile page we can see that this hub has been published. If we click the "Publish" Button for the second time the hub will come out of the "Edit" Screen but the message will not be shown and when i checked for fan mail i found that in this case the fan mail wont be delivered.

This problem has caused many of my hubs not being delievered properly. Is this because of the problem with Hub Pages server. I have also seen that in some cases if we makes some changes to the text in a hub that is already published we cannnot see the changes for a few minutes. the changes will be active only after a few minutes. This kind of problem was not there in Hub Pages in last months. This started happening two weeks before and still continues, is this because server is getting slower than usual to show the changes than before.

Please do some thing about the "Publish" Problem which takes more time and fan mails not getting delievered due to this unending "Working" symbol shown in Edit mode when we hit "Publish"

A Warning Message Like this is Given in such cases.

Fan mails not getting properly delivered means loss of revenue to Hubbers and HubPages Management. So please take this seriously as an urgent request.

What should i do for the fan mails that were not delivered, is there any option to resend fanmails.

All fan mails are sent by our servers, but there are a number of obstacles that lie between sending an email, and it actually being delivered to the inbox of the recipient.  The delivery rate is never going to be 100%, but we are doing what we can to ensure that it is as high as possible.

As for the publishing issue, what you are experiencing sounds like what might happen if you have a somewhat flaky internet connection, but we'll investigate further ...

Paul: As mentioned to rockinjoe, for a few months I was not getting ANY fan mails or notifications of comments in my hubs; however I did get the announcements from hubpages management now and then.  Don't know if this info will help,  but I was using my AOL email address.

I'm not sure if emails are properly sent to fans about favorite author's hubs. But, in my recent experience I did not get the notification on homepage 'featured favorites' when(even after few hours) SweetiePie published new hubs.

Fan mail not being delivered does not affect Hubpages revenue.  lol

Gamergirl i have 1100 fans and if fan mail is delivered i get more than 2000 views within first 2 days which will increase gradually. Gamergirl your fans will be active hubbers and so they will not be interested with adsense ads. But 90% of my Fans are Visitors who dont write any hubs and so it really matters. There is a huge difference between fans who know what is adsense and fans who dont know. So always i have tried to get non-hubber fans rather than active hubber as fans. And Fan mail not getting delivered problem has been reported by many hubbers already. So if it happens to many people the outcome will affect revenue of Hubpages also.

Yeah, it's probably low priority, but I don't receive it either. There's probably a glitch somewhere...

I had this problem for almost 5 months, started a thread asking for help, emailed hubpages management and didn't get a reply; I was however not very persistent in getting an answer.  I happened to read a suggestion by a member who was experiencing this problem to switch to Gmail, and I did this. It works like a charm! I get all my fan mails, hubpages announcements, and what  a difference it is.  I feel more involved now with the community as I am aware of who is writing what, and also see comments left in my hubs without having to manually look for them and which I would often miss for weeks.

        Hi VioletSun,
        Thank you!
On your good luck with Gmail, I changed my Hubpages email (formerly on Yahoo!) to my cable company's primary email address and I'm happy to report I just received my first fan mail. I feel better involved in the community, also. (I hated the fact that many were commenting on my hubs and I had no idea when friends had written new ones)
I'm rather disappointed in Yahoo!, though. Fan mail wasn't even delivered to my spam/bulk folder.

I usually publish more hubs in a day. Is this the problem and is there a limit to maximum number of fan mails being send by a hubber in one day or within 24 hours.

Dear Paul Deeds, I am not saying that the hub is not getting published, when i hit the button itself the hub is published and is shown in profile page as latest hub. So it is not due to the slow interent connection. The Announcement message that is shown at the top of a hub "Your Hub has been Published.............." is not shown in some cases as the hub will be in edit more for an indefinite time and this specific hubs fan mail will not be delivered.  This is what happens.

Delivery rate of Hubpages Mail system is 100% correct , i am sure.

If 1 mail is correctly delivered, then all remaining fans will surely get delievred.

But now sometimes it is not delievered even to a single person. The process for initiating sending messages is not happening sometimes.
