Question about YieldBuild?

I recently signed up with them on the strength of seeing that HP uses them.

I could not link my Adsense and had to manually give them my password.  So I gave it to them. After they linked, I changed it to something else, but saw no reporting.

They say they need my password.  Well, if they need it, then I would think HP needs to know my new password, so I asked them.  They say No, they don't need it.

So if HP doesn't need to know, why does YB?   Am I missing something obvious?

It's not so much that HubPages uses YieldBuild, as they are owned by them.

Why do you need YieldBuild? The system is automatically integrated into this site.

Yieldbuild requires your adsense password so that they can connect to your adsense reports, channels and give you earning reports in their performance tabs. They fetch that information by creating yieldbuild channel on your adsense account automatically when you link your adsense account with yieldbuild. Every performing yieldbuild block(sidebar, footer or content block) is shown in performance tab and this is possible only because they manage to pull this information from your adsense account.

This is the reason YB is asking you for password so that they can connect to your adsense account.

Yes, I see.  I see also that they may experiment with colors, so they would need to be able to change the ads.  Makes sense.

I have tried places like this in the past and been disappointed.  I hope this works well.

The very first impressions I saw seemed interesting.   I never would have chosen the color scheme they are using for Google and I was a little amused to see ads I have seen here at HP appearing.  They also seem to be throwing a lot of Chitika in, which I have never done well with, but again they are using a different color scheme so maybe they know something I don't.

I'll be writing about it in months to come, one way or another.

It should be trying a wide variety of different colorschemes, and different advertising networks.

Over the space of 100,000 views it will then decide which options work best for you.

Yeah,  and that will take the better part of two weeks, so I expect to suffer a bit this month.

The weekend earnings were down, but that sometimes happens after a strong week, which I did have before implementing YB on Saturday.   Monday is one of those "you never know" days, so getting $28 overall is impossible to classify as good or bad.

I should know whether this is worth while by the end of the month.  I really hope it is.

Yeah I would give it a little time, remember that August is generally a slow month in any case, especially when it comes to electronics.

Oh, and by the way, their tech support people are very responsive and friendly.
