I seem to be suffering from senior-itis, here.
A few weeks ago, I un-published a few hubs with low ratings, planning to revise them and bring them back later.
It is now "later." Several of these will be relatively easy. The third one, not so much.
It seems I have forgotten the name of the folder in which I stored the piece! I also seem to have had a brain fart in not putting said folder inside my "Hub Pages" folder.
It is floating around somewhere on my hard drive.......and I cannot do a search on something with a forgotten name.
:::: Beating head against desk ::::
Apart from hanging a chalk board around your neck for those moment to moment memories I would suggest you look in your 'recent documents' from the START button menu, and the drop downs of word etc. If you find one you find them all Otherwise I normally find they have reverted to the default and are in the C: drive my docs folder. You can tell how often this happens to me !!! another way is to search in 'files' not for title but for content - use an odd phrase that you probably do remember - hope you find yourself soon, you can always ask nurse what your name is I find, she is normally helpful unless in a bad mood and then I wander around all day looking for new areas of France to conquer.
LOL china man---
Good ideas...appreciate the input...and the humor!
I have to search for lost files all the time! I'm almost an expert at it by now.
What china man said - do a search by a word or phrase that is in the file. If you use Windows, just open the Search function from the Start Menu; click Documents; click Use Advanced Search Options; then you can use a lot of different criteria for searching - including size of the file, time when it was created, modified, or accessed, and some word or phrase in the file. The key is to think of a good word or phrase that is not too common, but that would definitely be in the file.
Good luck!
Thanks, aficionada! ;-) Good to know I'm in good company here, at least!
You know the Reverend said to the lady , " You really need to be thinking about the hereafter."
She said, " I do Reverend, everywhere I go I think, now what am I here after."
LOL
Just a thought - but don't unpublished hubs just stay in the hubs box as UNPUBLISHED ?
I would not know how to actually remove them thinking about it !
yes, china man--the title is still there--it is the contents I removed. Nothing left but an empty capsule.
stop thinking about it
go and do something incredibly boring, like ironing or hoovering so that the brain cells are resting- then the answer will come to you.
My husband asked me when brain cells sstarted to deteriorate- he said about 25 years of age whioch means i am in trouble having losst them for some 25 yrs and not realising it
LOL--good point.
And I guess I'm in worse trouble.. started losing mine nearly 40 years ago without realizing it.

Does anyone have a site or tool to find out how many times a word or phrase is searched?I had been using the free version of Google Adtool for the past year, but for whatever reason it doesn't allow me to use it any longer. Does anyone else have a good site or tool that they use for this purpose?

I am almost ready to publish a new article, and I want to add two Amazon Capsules. I know how to do it the old way. But I saw on lobobrandon and a few other's hubs a different way. There is just an orange "A" and what looks like a hyperlink, and when clicked, it takes the reader right to...

What are the red underlined words about in our hubs?Red underlines on random words in our hubs are links to hubpages main page. What is the purpose of it and how are the words chosen? It silly and annoying to have a word underlined, like "confession" and the link takes you no where but to...
