From the site I just read the title character count would be a nice option or feature. Seems anything over 70 characters is shown as a .... with Google SERPs
Would this be helpful to anyone else? Sometimes I try to max out my title I mean I can count them or go back and forth, but if character count was there we could be sure we don't go over 70. Just in the title box.
Maybe its here and I don't see it?
Any thoughts on this feature added to title box
70 characters is a lot. I don't see where many would actually go over it.
That was 74 characters...
I see where it could happen, but it's not that common I don't think for there to be a need for a limit to be coded and placed. I just counted and one of my hubs with a long title still only had 68 characters. I'm sure there has to be a small handful of mine that may be close to 70 if not over, but not many.
I get what you mean, I have some long titles on many hubs. Mostly because the new title feature keeps suggesting that I add more keywords. Sometimes it feels like the titles are kind of odd sounding with the extra words. But, knowing the count would help during the initial set-up.
K9keystroke, just rearrange and completely re-work your titles so that they make since and that they still use the suggested keywords. Don't just add words to add them.
Thanks Whitney05! That is very helpful information. I truly appreciate it. Will give it a go!
Ok well I thought there might be some title tuner experts out there. Some still like the 5-7 word titles my self the closer to seventy characters titles seem to be ranking pretty good. Also title tuner does try to push me over 70 which may loOse a keyword in the title on the search page . Replaced with (.........) ok thanks for your opinions about adding the counter. I will just type them into twitter first to do character count wow lol

While entering "pant..." I got an interesting hub title suggestion:"Smart Ass Thong Panties for Moms Product Review"Sure is an interesting topic! I suppose it would be fun to write about, but it would probably get flagged.Has anyone else experimented with the topic/title...

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...

My email to Hub Pages' Team was sent 6/1/14 and read as follow:Dear Team:I have noticed that the entire summary for my hub article does not always show completely in the "featured" box under my profile page. Then, when you click on the article from that section, you can't finish reading...

So I have just been looking at the title tuner, great tool I must say. However, as I try and add a few extra words in I start to wonder how long a title should be. Does it matter? Can a title be to long?

I am quietly going mad trying to remember where I read about a proposed feature from hubpages. It was in relation to the title of hubs. They were going to offer suggestions for hub titles which we could opt to use instead if the one we were going to use. We could keep no more than 4 of these...

My goodness, I have read oh so many forums trying to figure out why my once flourishing hubs suddenly took a devastating nosedive. I have learned a lot from others comments & shared experience. I have also recognized that there seems to potentially be a number of possible reasons why many hubs...
