Amazon UK flooded by complaints about the bargains that disappear in a flash
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article … conds.html
It's seems that Amazon could have shot themselves in the foot on this one!
Millions of people go online and if a few thousand click on ten items up for grabs, the realities is most people wont get the bargain.
It was a very clever marketing strategy, which (by the media flagging it) continues to promote Amazon after the event. What a cheap way of advertising?!
But in the longer term, if those who were disappointed and complained never return to shop at Amazon again, have they lost customers?
Sounds like 'Black Friday' may have been a great idea, but some of the execution could have been better and maybe people's expectations not pumped up so high?
Dont think there is any chance of that... Amazon always seems to be competitively priced on most things, and deliveries are pretty good too. The small amount of people that are disgruntled will probably be miffed for a while, but most people's memories are short and they will come back eventually.
The point is that more people will check Amazon out because news is news, whether it is good, bad or indifferent. The advertising has refreshed their memories at a time of a great shopping season - the best in the year!
Seems a bit daft mind, most of us in the UK don't know what Black Friday actually is, it's meaningless. http://hubpages.com/question/87857/why- … ack-friday
Just found out what Black Friday is. But why bother.
I followed the big Black Friday noise made by Hostagator to see it was a petty offer of a 50% discount on hosting for one month. It is easy to get bigger discounts than that through Google search. Doh!
Wow, that is really bad customer service on amazons part, im quite sure someone at the top of amazon is going to be rightly annoyed, very interesting article
Black Friday seems to work well in America so far. My friends in other countries do not even know the term black Friday.

Hi, I have just checked Amazon.com for payment details. It seems that you can get paid direct to your bank if you are in USA or get paid by Amazon.com gift certificate. If you want to be paid by cheque, earnings have to be $100. How can I get paid in UK? I can't have the...

I thought my UK affiliate ID was working fine with HP as long as I chose amazon.com based products - seems I was very wrong! You do not get credited with any sales. If you only have a UK affiliate code, you need to apply to amazon.com for another one, which I have just done.

I was totally dismayed to learn that Ad-Blocking software is used by 41% of people. (The statistic appeared in "The Week" magazine.) That reduces impressions. We get 60% of views, but only 59% of those views yield ad impressions so only 35% of our views gives us earnings. If you get 1000...

I was wondering what is the best way to get paid by Amazon if you don't live in the U.S.A?I live in the UK and wonder what are the best payment methodsSadly I don't have an American bank account so can not receive direct deposits. This is a shame as I would love this and it only requires a...

Should my Amazon linked products be in dollars or pounds?I am not entirely sure whether the HubPage membership and audience is largely USA or UK, though I know it serves both. My Amazon linked products (mostly books) are shown in dollars, but when I check my pages I find the automated Google ads...
