Hi All Wonderful Hubbers.
So, nervous as I am, I'm about to take my first step to monetizing something.
It's this hub.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Stainless-Steel … out-Teflon
And this is the product I want to put on it.
http://www.amazon.com/Rival-SS120-Stain … B00005UWGY
However, Amazon is out of stock. It's out of stock for the other Stainless Steel electric frying pan as well.
There's a note there that says that they don't know if they'll be getting anymore. I suspect that is because most people buy Teflon coated ones in the mistaken belief that they're better.
They're not.
I was accepted by amazon.
How do I proceed.
Oh, and as I'm pretty dumb, even if you think you're taking too long to explain it to me, I think I'm probably going to understand it better.
Thank you.
Hello Sophia
First thing to do is highlight the ASIN number of the item you want to list (B00005UWGY) and then copy it to your computer's clipboard (press and hold down the Control button, and press the letter C).
Add an Amazon capsule somewhere in your hub. Go into Edit mode for the Amazon capsule, and go for the "Choose Specific Items" option. Paste the ASIN number into the first space (CTRL-V). Then save the capsule.
Personally I would have more than one item in the Amazon capsule - say, 4 - 6 items. You can have Amazon open in another window of your browser, and do a search for suitable items - copy and paste the relevant ASIN numbers as you go. A good place to put an Amazon capsule is floated to the right of a block of text.
As a general suggestion, I would put a bit more text in the first text capsule so that the square block of Google ads sits in the top right hand corner rather than some lines down as it is at present. That way, those people who aren't drawn to your Amazon capsules are more likely to click on a Google ad instead!
If amazon is out of the product, there is really no point writing a hub around it. You won't make money if people can't buy it. Your choice is either to see if walmart has is on stock (in which case, if you get an affiliate account you can still sell through walmart) OR write a different product hub.
How does hub pages accommodate Walmart. I have asked the company who stocks the product if they can back link to me. But it's an off chance.
Hubpages doesn’t accommodate Walmart. You would have to include a link with your affiliate ID to the product. You are limited to no more than 2 such links per domain. It’s not anywhere near as good as promoting an Amazon product, although you would keep 100% of the revenue.
Only thing I am having little success with is amazon, so I will add my 2 cents. If amazon does not have a product, and have it from other sellers, I believe you still still make commission if I am not mistaken.
Add an amazon capsule to your hub.
Then edit that capsule.
click choose specific products and add in the code for the item, B00005UWGY (this is found in the amazon url).
I hope this helps.

Today I have a quick announcement. We are retiring Amazon Capsules with multiple products. Writers haven’t been able to create these in a very long time, but some very old articles still contain Amazon Capsules with multiple products in them. On January 8th, these will be converted to...

We just released a small update to the site. Among a slew of bug fixes and small updates, there are two notable changes. The first is that you can follow the comments on a hub, and receive email notifications when new comments are made. Just click the follow button near the top of the...

I just received an email notification that products were removed from one of my hubs because I "must provide relevant experience." One of the products that was removed is one I have used for a long time and mentioned my experience in the hub. Do we have to go into great detail about our...

I've checked the learning center and unless I've missed it can't find the information to enlarge the image of an amazon product. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
