I've only had my new electronics site live a month maybe. To be honest with electronics being such a competitive niche I wondered how long it would take to rank for any key words.
Well today in my stats I actually found 6 keywords my site was found by!
In fact one of them ranks #4 on the front of Google. I think the key is to write about specific models and types of electronics.
I'm never going to rank for simply laptops or cameras. But,,, I can rank for "dell inspiron mini duo 3487fnt laptop".
So if every post I write about a specific model I should be doing good by Christmas.
dell inspiron mini duo 3487fnt laptop , this keyword haven't searches in google , i check it with google keywords.
You must be searching outside the USA or a different extension. It's Number 4 and 5 on Google USA and Scroogle search.
Oh wait, you mean it does not show in Google keywords tool. Yes you are 100% correct.
so what you will get from keyword haven't searches on google !
Every keyword has searches every day on Google. The keyword tool in Google does not list very low keyword searches.
My whole point to this thread was that my new site has been getting searches and it does rank high for a low keyword. That's called a good sign for a month old brand new site in one of the most competitive niches.
You can build a well paying website around nothing but low keywords that show nothing in Google tools. New products that will be popular months from now start as not even ranking in keyword tools.
Thanks. When you open a new site your always wondering how long it will take to rank. So far things look encouraging.
I must admit however that talking about all the specs, bytes, power and so on of electronic stuff bores me to tears.
You can rank for ANY keyword phrase Bill, the key is to rank for terms and phrases people are searching for. For instance, what is the search volume for "dell inspiron mini duo 3487fnt laptop?"
Here's a tip, go to Amazon > Electronics and find what the best sellers are. Write a post here on HP and link to a unique post on your site. Do the same with products found in Ebay pulse. These are the products that people are searching for the most and you can use HP's rank to juice up your posts. Do that and you will have a really really good Christmas!
Good idea, but it does not hurt to rank very high for very low searched keywords also. Your not going to get many hits per day, but your almost assured at least a few.
Times that by hundreds and those very low searched keywords add up. But yes of course, doing what you say and ranking for them is also a great way to go, thanks.
Sounds like a good idea that will work in your favour. This is just a wild guess but I would think that by the time someone types in a make and a model number into a search engine, they have almost made the decision to buy. I am judging that by the way I search for things starting with a broad subject to research, then narrowing it down as I get closer to a decision.
Yup. I find that with electronics, because of all the funny numbers and letters in a model, people tend to copy and paste the full model name in Google search.
So making your title with the full model number, brand and so on makes you rank pretty good.

I'm having an issue deciding what keywords to go after. Most of the lower competition words I'm not as interested in and it takes me longer to write since I'm not enjoying. But, most of the things I'm very interested in are harder to rank for but I can pump out hubs on those subjust easily. So, do...

I joined hubpages one month ago and started writing hubs on weekends because I am very busy on working days. I have published 12-13 hubs right now and they are featured (12 of them while the 13th is still under review). Though my score on each hub is above 50 but I am seeing no traffic coming on my...

Hi all. I just started this thread because I need some advice on choosing keywords. Sometimes when selecting keywords, I choose the keywords with about 200 global searches a month but not much competition. This is good and I rank very well for those keywords but I feel that I don't get enough...

I've read a lot about the importance of doing keyword research, but then you also get the impression that to really do that research properly can take a long time unless you get lucky early on or really know what you are doing. So I wonder, with some people pumping out huge amounts of hubs, are...

It seems to me they are. You find out what's searched on the Internet and put it in the title of your article. But it seems to me, some of it is just logic; What will someone likely type into the search engine? No one is going to search for "how to pay attention instead of getting wrapped up...

Hi, I created a hubpage 4 hours ago and it's now #18 (second page) out of 24,000+ on the results pages of Google. This is for a one-word keyword. My question is, did I make it to the Top 20 just because the page is new, and will this ranking slide in next few days or week?I won't do backlink...
