Google blog or other blog best for links?
So far I have had zero success with that, but maybe it just takes time.
IMO all websites should have a blog as part of the site. Blog post offer much more for your readers and give your site more SEO.
However I assume your site is not made with wordpress or other blog software. So you would need to make a new folder in your site directory and put your wordpress blog there.
I myself make all my sites using wordress from the start.

Google, Hubpages and Blogger
I recently set up several blogger blogs to promote and provide backlinks for my hubs. I've been updating the blogs everyday so google will like them. Most of the outgoing links on my blogger blogs are to my hubs...will google dislike me for that?
