Improve your adsense by filtering categories
Have only just discovered this but it opened my eyes as to the types of ads G is serving up on my hubs and other sites.
Here's what to do:
1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
2. Under the AdSense Setup tab, visit the Ad Review Centre page.
There will be a list of categories with two columns against them - % of recent earnings and % of recent ad impressions. (These are the only categories they allow you to block ads from)
I was kind of shocked at what they showed - for instance 4.9% of all ads they served were in the religious category - only I have no religious material, and not surprisingly the % of earnings for that category were zero. In fact there was only one category where the % of earnings were higher than the % of impressions.
I guess the crappy ads are down to people like scientologists buying up all sorts of inappropriate keywords.
Select the categories you want to block and click submit
Apparently they have had this facility since 2007, but have only just found out about it.
Anyway - hope this helps other hubbers.

How much more do you earn from just Adsense?
Some people have said they've turned off HP Ads and just use Adsense and actually make more money from Adsense. I'm considering trying that out and was curious how much more some of you are making just through Adsense. Fifty percent more? Twice as much? Triple? Quadruple?
